I need to bring a high protein entree to the birth center when I go into labor to eat after delivery, but I am having the hardest time coming up with ideas- everything I am thinking of seems to be mostly carbs. Ideally it would be something that I could make now and freeze until I need it. The birth center has a kitchen so it would be easy to heat up in the oven. Any recipes/suggestions?

High protein entree suggestions?

Low carb high protein is how I eat! lol
How about this:
Creamy chicken:
Cut bacon into matchstick peices, and cook bacon till done but still soft ish. Remove bacon from pan.
Brown bone in skin on chicken thighs in remaining bacon fat, and season with garlic and onion powder, salt and pepper. Add 1 cup cream ÂĽ cup white wine, ÂĽ cup of chicken stock (or 1/2 chicken stock if you don't want the wine) and add onion and lots of garlic (like 5 or 6 cloves minced up), 1 tbsp thyme and salt and pepper and allow cream to come to a boil. Re-add the bacon and some diced jalapenos (optional, but oh so yummy) and pop entire fry pan uncovered into 350 degree oven for 15-20 min. Cream should thicken.
So if I was doing this to bring to the birth center I would pour it all into an oven safe dish and freeze and then bake at 350 for 45 min.

I always bring soup to the birth center when my sisters give birth and they LOVE it. Soup is so comforting, hearty and easy to eat even if you're exhausted.

I chose a comfort food from my childhood for myself when they asked the same of me (plus a little container of really expensive, really tasty chocolate ice cream), so for me, beef 5-spice stew.
Saute garlic and ginger, add beef cubes and brown some, then add maybe 1 cup of soy sauce, 2 tsp (? really matters on how strong you like it and the amount you're making), 2 tsp sugar, and cut up carrots (again, in whatever proportion to the beef that you like). We serve with white rice, but you could just eat it straight. If you like, thicken at the end with a cornstarch-water slurry and adjust any seasonings you want to.
This was a big comfort food for me, and that was a great time for a comfort food from my childhood.
