This may be a silly question....nursing and new baby

So my almost 2 year old is still nursing, but my milk supply is just enough to cover her. When new baby comes in 7 months, will more milk come in just like usual, or is there a more gradual increase?

More milk will come in. Something else to be of: you may lose your supply during pregnancy.

DS was 2 when I got pg with DD and still nursing a lot. My supply did gradually go down during pregnancy, and the milk changed to colostrum around the start of the third trimester, but after DD was born, within a day or two, my full milk was back in abundance. I went on to successfully tandem nurse for 2 more years (so he was close to 5 when he weaned), and only now at 4 is DD close to weaning as well (and I am pg again, but don't have much, if any, milk left this time). So definitely you will get a lot more milk when the new baby comes.

At about three months pregnant my milk supply would disappear completely. 2/3 of my children weaned at that point (the milk taste changes, etc.) The one who continued to nurse was my youngest, and was only a year old. For her, there was little milk, just colostrom the rest of the pregnancy and when her baby sister was born about a day later the milk came in full force. However, she kept me from ever getting engorged and was very enthusiastic to nurse in the morning when I was most engorged and had the most milk.

you'll probably have no issue w/ covering the baby.
I am currently nursing a 5 mo and a 3 1/2 yo and I just make sure to feed the baby first. the 3 1/2 yo says that there is always milk.
