I'm due at the beginning of June, so I can't see how I'm far enough along to show ANYTHING yet if the embryo(S) is (are) the size of a lentil. So WHY do I already feel kind of full and bloated? I saw a picture of myself from a party yesterday and I feel like I already have a little bit of a tummy. It must be water retention, right? Is anyone else having that? Gah.

Bloated and uncomfortable!

Yes!!!! I went to a party this weekend and was miserable in my jeans. Of course we're not "showing" yet, but bloated? Yes. I feel like I do when I'm about to start my period. Crampy, bloated, and feeling "fat". etc. I haven't want to wear anything binding in the past 2 weeks, everything just feels uncomfortable!

Isn't it fun? I've never dealt with bloat like I have this pregnancy. It's been very uncomfortable.

I'm just avoiding certain foods (that make it worse) for now.

I'm hoping that replacing all that wine with water will eventually make that feeling go away.

I am feeling the exact same way, big and bloated. When I wear pants that are fitting in the waist it makes my nausea worse so I cant wait to get home from work and put on my sweats.

Yep! I call it my gas baby

I've outgrown all my pants. I have one pair that actually fits right now. This is ridiculous.

I can definitely relate. Also, the production of hormones makes our digestion slow down, and might be backed up a bit... That's how I felt for the first couple of weeks. Now, I've figured it out for the time being.. Drinking kephir! Totally helps flush things out! (In a nice gentle, non-aggresive way..) Also, plenty of water! Hope that helps!

I feel bloated too. I've been trying to suck in my stomach but it just makes me feel more wretched than I already am.

Oh and I have offically get nauseous by smells. Food seems to be ok, but smells...gag.

Popping over from (late) May & I'm definitely showing...accidentally ended up exposing my tummy at work all day today because my shirt wasn't long enough to keep it covered after all. I've already bought some maternity clothes but it looks like I need to make a bigger investment soon.

My tummy is pretty bloated, but this morning my DH said, "i don't know how people at work don't know you are pregnant, look at the size of your boobs!"

haha!

In the town I live in there are no mat clothes, so I am hoping I can hold out until I can fly out in November to a mall.

I don't care if the ladies at the mat store laugh because I'm not far along ... I'm going to buy a pair of those jeans with the elastic waistband, those look awesome! I think I would want to wear those during my period anyway, so they'll be keepers long after pregnancy. I want to be COMFORTABLE! And I'm going to start wearing sports bras instead of regular ones. My poor husband is going to start wondering where his wife has gone!!!

With both of my previous pregs, I've started gaining weight right away - even before I knew I was pregnant. But, I'm definately bloated this time, too. For some reason, I can't wait to have the baby bump back.
I went out and bought some pants one size up from where I am. Last pregnancy I was able to wear mostly regular pants, just a size or two larger, until I hit 7 months.

I feel way more bloated than last time- I guess I'm just stretchier down there...haha!

I'm going to go buy some sweats soon! I'm feeling the bloat for sure!

Does the bloat ever go away, or should I just resign myself to feeling like a big disgusting whale for the next 8 1/2 months?
I do feel bloated as well, but I also sort of don't feel pregnant. It's odd. I definitely have tender breasts (thank you DD) and the motion sickness is horrid.

I wonder though, for those who feel they are showing already, are you sure you got your dates right? I know I did and the last time they kept asking me that, too, but I don't know if everyone keeps track.

Also, are you all sure you're having a singleton? I've been wondering that for myself. I'm definitely more exhausted this time and my whole uterus definitely feels tighter earlier. But that could also just be my secret desire for multiples
post #19 of 31
Since this is my first, I have absolutely no basis for comparison. I do have fairly high odds for multiples though. I just feel like a beach ball right now and I know logically that I cannot possibly be that big when I am carrying something smaller than a comma.

Well, mine are apparently twins, but I still can't imagine that I'd be showing anything at 6 weeks. Am I wrong about that? It's not my first pregnancy, but I haven't ever carried to term or even gotten very far into Pregnancyland, so I don't think that counts in terms of when I'd start to show.
