Frustrated at family expo

I'm not sure this is the right place to post, but Im feeling a little frustrated.

I had a booth at a Family Expo this weekend. While there, my husband and kids came to visit me. My 7month old son was hungry, so I of course fed him (very discreetly, I might add) at my booth. As far as I new, no one noticed. Until I looked over at the next booth and the older man and woman running it were looking at me totally disgusted, then whispered to eachother.

The next day, I was wearing my Moby and had a doll in there to demonstrate. The woman at the next booth said "I saw you feeding your son yesterday, looking at him today, it looks like he got some bad milk, huh?"

I didn't know how to respond to this at all. I didn't say anything. All throughout the rest of the day, when me or my partner at the booth tried talking with them, they ignored us! Just straight out ignored us!

I know this isn't a huge deal, but I have been lucky enough to never have had any real negative reaction to breastfeeding... So, I was just so upset!

Thanks for "listening" to me vent!

What? that doesn't make any sense. Was she saying that there is something wrong with your son? That is beyond mean! Oh, nevermind, I just realized she was making some weird joke about your son being possibly turned into a doll because of your wacky milk (??????) It's still not very funny.

Sounds like a twilight zone type situation. No loss to you, though!

HUh, that is weird, I assume she thought she was being funny, but really not succeeding...

I can't even believe someone would say something so rude and nasty. I think I would have been too stunned to say anything just like you. OMG, I still can't believe it.

Ya, I think she was trying to be funny, but not succeeding... I feel like she also wanted me to know that she saw me breastfeeding.. like I should have hid it better.. I dont know, they were just weird.
Wouldnt talk with us for the rest of the day though.. You'd think that at a family expo they would be much more open to **family**!

Well, I guess that's not the type of people you'd want to share your Latte or Darjeeling with anyway.
