I guess I belong here!

I tested last Thursday and got a BFP. Verified with a blood test the same day (I've had a false positive before) and yep, I'm pregnant!

Based on the all-knowing internet due-date calculator, I'm due June 10th.

I have a 2 yr old DS, but this is my first pregnancy, so it's a whole new world!

I was feeling off my coffee the last week or so, which is what prompted me to test. I've been really tired and a bit crampy, but so far, so good!

Hi curvyred, I just wanted to say that I also have a DS (9 mo) but this is my first pregnancy!! I am due June 15th. I just tested yesterday at 13dpo (expecting a BFN) but got a BFP

I couldn't stomach my coffee this morning either - I dont know if its from lack of sleep (I was much too excited to sleep last night) or from the hormones!

Yaaay for both of us!!

Yay!! Congrats!

Off my coffee is the only symptom I have at all. It's looking like a long haul between that second beta and the first ultrasound if I don't start feeling pg!

Welcome!

Congratulations! Creepy about the false positives though (I'm always scared of that)

Thanks all!

Icy--that's cool that you're in the same boat. I've already had the whole, "Is this your first child . . . " question from the receptionist at the doc's office. Um, first PREGNANCY.

And the inevitable "Adoption makes people get pregnant" comment that I'm going to hear eight MILLION times in the next eight months! No, pretty sure the sperm and the egg are responsible for this babe, not the paperwork we filled out three years ago.

Funny how being off the coffee can be a sign! I also tried to eat chocolate yesterday--um, no go. Is nothing sacred?

Congratulations!!

I'm smiling about being "off coffee". I knew I was pregnant with my first when I walked down the coffee aisle of the local Safeway and was almost bowled over by the smell. It wasn't bad, necessarily, just super strong. So I walked down the next aisle and bought a FRER.

As for the annoying adoption comment, make a promise to yourself that you will start a fund for the baby and contribute a nickel (or some other amount) each time you hear it. By the time you deliver, you'll have a nice little stash, and as a bonus, you'll start looking forward to hearing it

Yes! I am already having to explain that this is a "planned-pregnancy." I don't care what people think I am just too excited! Hopefully the family can get all their questions out and over with sooner rather than later. Telling the in-laws tomorrow....
