Any here? If so, what program? Online or off? How far into the program are you? How is it going?

I will be applying for grad school within the next year or so.

It will be on online program, more than likely in sociology.

I'm more than a little concerned with how I am going to pay for classes, books and living expenses when, as far as I understand, pell grants won't cover a grad program.

How about you?

Currently I'm studying for the GRE:

http://atemporaryblogonapplyingtogra....blogspot.com/ Anyone want to be study buddies?

I am planning to enroll fall of 2010 to get my M.Div. (I posted this elsewhere too). My program will be offline, though one of the four programs to which I'm applying is a modified residency program with a January intensive for lectures, and the reading, writing, and other work being done during the other months, so in a way I guess you could say it is online. My top choice program is definitely offline.

There is a big long PhD thread of us. I am in year 8 of grad school, year 6 of my PhD program. Hopefully this is the last year.

I am in a traditional program, I paid for school by getting a TA/RA - they pay for your tuition and give you a stipend in exchange for working as a teaching or research assistant 20 hrs/week.

M. of Ed. in Secondary Education, mostly online although I am doing a student practicum right now and we have monthly meetings with our class. Had to take out loans but am paying resident tuition so it was not too bad.

I am getting an MA in Health and Wellness/ Lactation Consulting from Union Institute. I am in my second week. So far, so good.

I'm in the application process - now that I know my GRE score was high enough to qualify. I've never been one for test anxiety, but that test definitely made me more than a little nervous.

In fact I just began saying out loud that I'm returning to school for MLIS, because I had to in order to ask for professional references. I think it's all just starting to sink in... and I'm over the moon with excitement. I just pray I actually get in the program.

Ugh! I hated taking the GRE. I got very flustered during that test for some reason and like you, I am not one for test anxiety. Now I am studying for the AEPA biology exam so I can do my student teaching next year.

I'm in my second year (part time) for my Master's. I am studying to be a Family NP, should finish in Dec 2011. It's going pretty well though the workload this semester is more than prior ones!

I start my rotations this upcoming summer and life will get interesting then! I also work 36 hrs a week so I will need to cram about 200 hrs of clinical time on top of my regular work schedule.

I'm a third-year PhD student in geography. I'm switching advisers and research projects right now, so it's going to be a little complicated for the next few months. I think it'll make things better for when the baby arrives, though.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I'm becoming convinced that the GRE can make even the coolest cucumber sweat.

I'm at the beginning of year 5 of a PhD program in biology. Traditional (not online), but I finished classes before my first child (3 mos old) was born. Mainly analyzing data and writing now.

I finished my M.Ed. in early childhood education in Dec. I'm trying to get my thesis ready for publication now. I'm also applying to PhD programs for next year, although I'm kind of hoping that I don't get in....

Starting my 3rd year PhD program in computer stuff, going for MS "along the way." The first two years was all classwork and figuring out what I don't want to do. Now, the research starts.

I'm (hopefully) finishing up my PhD this winter!!! It's offline but since my research is finished and I'm just in the writing stages I'm at home with DD and saving $$ on childcare.

It's going really well. I think I have about 8 papers altogether? Hopefully someone wants to hire me after I'm done. I'm applying for jobs now (sent my first application yesterday ).

I finished an MS program, in counseling psychology specializing in child and adolescent psychology in May of 08. That was in person with an internship. I specialized in trauma and worked for a year at both a rape crisis center w/victims and offenders and childrens and adults and a year at a free clinic with adults.

In the fall I started a MS program in forensic psychology, it's online and I am not currently enrolling and things are a mess due to my divorce. My husband smashed my fingers and that got my typing behind and then I left him and didn't have internet access to the school's website and things spiraled from there. I accepted fin aid to live but didn't complete the coursework. Feeling like a huge failure because I really need the student loans right now. I have to repay the credit hours. I got a withdraw F so I just need money to retake the class and money to repay my lender.

SO I may have to go to voc. rehab. I'm on FLMA from my job as a children's therapist for six months. Used one already.

I am sort of adrift right now.

Maybe I'll learn pet therapy or something.

Yes, I am proud to be in grad school now. Currently, I am enrolled with Stevens-Henager College for a Masters in Healthcare Administration. I am taking the program online and it’s going great for me. With the online degree I can juggle my personal commitments and still advance to my MS degree. I am looking forward to completing my Masters degree next year.

I am taking my GRE next Weds and will be applying for M Ed SLP programs for next fall. Applying only to 2 schools because we are pretty settled here w/ kids, house and DH's job so I had to pick the only 2 schools in driving distance that had my program. Once I get past the GRE hurdle, I'll get cracking on my apps in earnest.
