Any morning sickness?

I can't remember when it usually hits. With my DS, I was miserably nauseated from about 6 weeks until 2nd tri and vomited a few times. With DD, I just had terrible nausea (sp?) and nonstop headaches, but no vomiting.

For some reason, this time, I'm so scared of getting "morning sickness".

ugh, does anyone else have that stupid preggo brain going yet? I've been so spaced out and ditzy, can't type or spell anymore, and keep spilling everything

I'm six weeks and a day and am so nauseous I can barely function. It is bad but my OB says it's a good sign and after two losses I'm happy (well, not exactly happy) to suffer through it. I guess it would be more honest to say, if it means a healthy baby, I'm willing to suffer through it. Man, though... Most days it's all I can do to eat a few crackers and guzzle ginger ale. If anyone has any suggestions for relief, please post 'em!!!

My midwife told me I can take Dramamine, an over-the-counter motion-sickness tablet, for morning sickness. I use the original formula, which is Dimenhydrinate. The 'non-drowsy' formula they market under the Dramamine brand-name is Meclizine, which is a different drug. I think both of them are safe, but I prefer the original.

It just hit here at almost 6 weeks too. With DD I had debilitating nausea until 22 weeks. I'm hoping for a shorter and lighter bout this time! Fingers crossed.

I just went and bought some ginger to make ginger tea, which is supposed to help. I also got some chocolate milk which I find helps to keep my stomach full if I sip on it between meals. It's also one of the only foods that sound appealing

Ugh, sorry Mamas! I'm at 4.5 weeks and I've been a little off, but nothing big yet (knock on wood.) I have a feeling I might be there with you soon . . .

I've not dealt with anything other than nausea so far and I'm 5w5d. According to my pg journal with ds, I threw up roughly every other day between 7-10 weeks and a couple times after that, but nothing after ~13 weeks. It sure seemed like a lot longer than that when I was going through it

YES! In fact, two weeks ago I went to a mom's group at my church and I was sure someone at my table was going to figure it out. I dropped food, spilled my drink on myself multiple times, kept saying things wrong and just couldn't keep anything together. It was hilarious, but also embarrassing

I made a list for myself so I can remember what to try if/when the morning sickness does kick in:
Hypnobabies "Eliminate Nausea Now" track
Sea Bands anti-nausea bands
Put lemon juice or apple cider vinegar in your water
Papaya enzymes or dried papaya
Ginger tea, ginger ale water kefir, or crystallized ginger
Swedish bitters to aid digestion
Homeopathic remedies: I have nux vomica and pulsatilla, both 30C
Morning Sickness Magic from Mommy's Bliss

Last week I was starting to get extremely nauseous for a couple of hours at the same time every night so I took the Morning Sickness Magic pills as directed (1 pill every 6 hours for 2-3 days) and I stopped being nauseous at that time. It could have been a fluke or it could have really worked

My sis started getting sick around 4 weeks. I never did with DS. This time around I feel pretty gross if I'm too hungry, but snacking regularly has been helping.

Mild queasiness started today. I'm 4.4 weeks. Smells are starting to get to me though.

Nothing yet, but I'm still pretty early. It started about 5 weeks with my other pregancies, so I'm enjoying these last few days without it.

Thanks so much for the helpful suggestions. I'm definitely going to try as many as I can!

Nope no morning sickness yet.
A few brief waves of nausea, but thats it!! Call me crazy, but I say, bring it on... I do want that "pregnant" feeling, even if it is a crappy feeling...

With DD it began iaround 6+4, this time it came on at 5+2, robbing me of over a week of okay-ness i thought i'd get. With DD it stopped after 8weeks very suddenly (i thought i'd miscarried again) so i'm just going to have to fight through the next 2 weeks and hope it eases off again this time. I have good days and bad days. Today is a bad bad day.

So far I'm just a teeny bit queasy in the AM. Not sure if it's from the pain I'm in before the pain meds kick in fully or from the meds. but I def am scared of MS b/c of my back. It hurts so much to laugh, cough or sneeze. I can't imagine vomiting.

Oh no! I didn't even think of that! I'll definately have my FX that you sail through the first trimester quickly and easily (well, as easily as you can).

The nausea was so bad with my first two, I'm still scared of it. Every morning I wake up, I hold my breath and wonder if it will be the day.

Being the complete looney-toon that I am, it actually worries me that I'm not sick.

Well, then I hope you get just a little bit queasy and nothing more.

No real MS here either, and I'm 5w5d. I've had periods of mild nausea that get longer and just a bit worse each day for the past week or so, which is actually reassuring after my two recent losses! I seem to remember the MS kicking in strongly around 6.5 - 7 weeks with each of my other children. It was so bad in my last pregnancy that I ended up on Phenergan for a few weeks, but I was well served by the B6/Unisom combo with my previous pregnancies. I'm mostly just extremely tired, with breasts that hurt on/off all day, and a canine-like sense of smell .

I got some preggie pops from Motherhood Maternity last time... I liked them.. my natural foods store carries them as well.

My OB told me with a previous pregnancy to avoid mint (especially like mint toothpaste or gum)... so I switch while pregnant.

I am hoping it stays managable for me this time around (in the past I sometimes never left my bathroom floor).. I am teaching right now... can't imagine what I will say to my students if I have to run out of my classroom to vomit.. "um, no I DON'T have swine flu..." I don't want most people to know about it yet since I have had several losses...
