boiling pfs to clean them

ok, this is a question that kind of just randomly popped into my head. im not planning on trying it any time soon really, unless the washer breaks. my grandma told me that they used to boil the diapers to clean them. so did she just toss them in the boiling water? or did she have to rise them out first? i wont be seeing her for a while and it would be sort of odd to call and ask her about just that so i thought id ask here, too. LOL.

i am pretty sure that back then they used a wet pail of water and bleach....then wrung them out from there and boiled.

i could be wrong tho

i think youre right. im going to see grandma saturday, ill have to ask her then. she did say she used wool soakers and flats though. i thought that was cool.
