Block Feeding/Poop Question

I am starting block feeding to try and relieve some of my LO's poop issues. (I also cut out all dairy and all soy except soy lecithin in a few things.) I few weeks ago I tried 4 hour block, and saw some improvement, but began worrying about my supple so I switched to 2 hour blocks. Anyways, I am not seeing any improvement with 2 or 3 hour blocks, so I am going back to 4.

Anyways, here is my question... depending on when she falls asleep, one breast might go up to 8 hours without being nursed upon, same with when she wakes up. Should I pump that breast in the middle of the 8 hours, or is that defeating the purpose? I know that if I have true oversupply, that this really shouldn't be a problem, but I am a worrier.

Any one with block feeding experience care to share how they did it? And when did you see an improvement? Thanks so much!!!

Sorry to add more!! Here is a short history of what we are dealing with if anyone has any advice!

It is a long story, but we have had on and off green frothy poop since she was just a few weeks old. We have also had one week bloody, green, mucousy poop alternating with the green frothy poop which went away for a week and has been back for the last week and a half. We were collecting daily samples, and the tests confirmed that the non-visible blood was also gone for the week, not just the visible. (It went away around the time I was doing the block feeding.)

LO also pulls off during feeding a lot, has a lot of gas, and lets a lot of milk dribble from her mouth during let down.

Through all of this she is a very happy baby, gaining A LOT of weight, and is otherwise very healthy. The doctor did cultures of her stool and did not find anything.

Does she have tongue tie? That's quite common with this type of symptoms. You might want to post this question in allergies as well. Oh, and soy lecithin affects me just as much as any other soy, so you might try cutting that out as well.
Doing block feeding for us ended up leading to ds weaning from the left breast when he was one year old (it dried up). But that was partially because I wasn't careful about switching at night. (((hugs))) to you.
