The fast and furious birth of Christianna Jaselle - Page 3

wow. That's an amazing story you have to tell your little girl! Make sure you print it out for her!

Keep us updated when you tell her superiors what happened! That's ridiculous. Any seasoned ob nurse should know to trust a mom's instincts, especially a mom with other kids.

Aaaaaah, sorry you guys for not posting any sooner. Things have been so crazy at home. I have often heard that jumping from #3 to #4 is a big adjustment and it truely is lol. I must say my family feels so complete and perfect but things are just crazy around here.

I know you all are waiting patiently to see what becomes of the nurse who sent me home but I haven't gotten the time just yet to make a formal complaint. I would really like to get it done sooner than later because I don't want it to slip through the cracks.

I was in the hospital today where the lady works and I thought very seriously about taking a short ride up the elevator to L&D to see if she was by chance there or at least get her name but I was just not up to it. I had to make the long drive to base and I felt ok before I left the house but all the moveing around was pretty painful and by the time Christiannas appointment was over I was feeling kind of like I needed a wheelchair.

But I have to go back in on sunday because her biliruben was a little high and I am bringing DH so that I can get up to L&D regardless of if I feel well or not. I have kind of calmed down and don't think I will be doing nearly as much cursing as I initialy planned but I would like an apology from her at the least. There was another lady on that night I recall they were telling to go home as well but she was hanging around the lounge area not really wanting to leave because she felt she would go soon as well and lived too far away. I wonder what became of her.........

Thanks for the update! How about writing a letter. I have found in th epast that those get more attenion because it creates a paper trail. I also think that even though you are calm and collected now, it might be a different story once you see the nurse and all th emotions of that night come rushing back. Even if you don't have the name of the nurse, if you are specific enough in the letter about time, place etc., they will be able to figure it out.
Anyway, hope you are feeling better
