Anyone else still preggo? 10/7

I can't believe I'm still preggo at 41wks5days. I'm feeling discouraged again and ready to down some castor oil. It's amazing how my mood swings from one day to another. I need to focus on my blessings today again. On a positive note, DH will be home on paternity leave on Halloween to go trick or treatin with the 5 kiddos and me..........and I had time to re-dye my hair that had 3 inch roots yesterday.. and it looks decent.

I need labor vibes desperately!

Much Love,

Me!
Can't believe it myself- 41w4d. The baby seems to still be growing, because I have angry red stretch marks (I usually get a few silvery ones) that popped up in the past few days. My mood also changes day to day but overall, I am avoiding people in general...people at DS's nursery school are starting to have dreams about this baby and it freaks me out to hear all their stories

I have no labor signs, no lost plug, not even any major ctx. Just a big ole drooping belly that is hard to lug around.

I haven't thought much about what will happen past 42 weeks but my time is running out so I will call the midwives and see. They have been very laid-back so far thank goodness.

Let's go have these babies TODAY.

Yep, still here too. 41+2 and have been contracting every 2 minutes for FOUR DAYS. Quoting the L&D nurse "she's contracting like a crazy woman!" Have lost mucous plug & had bloody show. Baby is posterior and we've been doing everything we can to change that. The crappy part (long story...) is that we live in the middle of nowhere, and our hospital is 1 1/2 hrs from home... and we've been staying at a hotel by the hospital since we got out of L&D on Sunday (after being there 12 hrs thinking things were happening...).

Induction scheduled per my OB for Thursday night (Cervidil) if nothing happens before then. I'm hoping that Cervidil is all it will take to get things going since I've been contracting so long.

Hugs to all - this is SO mentally & emotionally difficult. It would have been pretty easy to agree to induction yesterday instead!

Hi ladies, I'm still here but only for today. I am
going in for an induction (yuck) in a few hours.

They did a nst and us yesterday and estimated the baby at 10 lbs 13 ozs... It's my first, and it looks like if I wait any longer they take induction off of the table and my only choice is c-sect.

My mw stripped my membranes yesterday afternoon... And it
really got things going... But everything dissapeared overnight.

Anyways, I'm scared... But my doula is great, and I am just praying for a natural, vaginal birth...

Labor vibes to you ladies that are left! Thanks for the support over the last few weeks when it was really needed

I know it's REALLY hard, but please don't get scared about baby's size!!! I've never heard of a term ultrasound UNDERestimating baby's weight, only OVERestimating. And often by a pound or more! And also remember that as long as baby's position is good, a big baby does not have to mean a harder labor. It may mean a longer pushing phase, or a bit of difficulty with pushing, but labor itself shouldn't be any different.

My first baby was 9-1 and was posterior. It was difficult, yes, but I did birth him vaginally (not naturally, but I avoided the c/s at least!) My most recent baby was 9-13 and my labor was INTENSE and FAST and pushing with him was my shortest pushing phase!

You can do this

Caitlyn- Good luck. Wishing you all the strength you need. I'm sure you'll do great...and you'll have your baby so soon!

good luck Caitlyn! You can do it. And i never believe a word about the baby's size. They actually DID underestimate my firstborns. They really just don't know; despite sounding like they do. (by a good two pounds no less...told me Maddie was going to be a 'little' baby, maybe 5 or 6lbs. Well - she was born 3oz shy of 8lbs thankyouverymuch - you should've seen me stressing that I hadn't been eating well enough or something was wrong.)

Don't get stressed out - your baby is the 'right' size, and you will be able to birth this baby!!!!!

Hang in there mamas ELV's to you all of you!!

41+5. I dont think I could get any bigger but lo and behold, this morning my belly seems even bigger than yesterday.

I hope the inductions went OK yesterday, would love to hear your birth story, Caitlyn! Enjoy your LO.

i have my 42wk appt tomorrow and am hoping for a good NST reading. I'm not a big fan of ultrasounds, but may have one scheduled for Mon if she "lets" me go that far...just keeping the faith that baby is still healthy. I guess I should know by this point what will happen after tomorrow, but somehow, I'd rather just wait and see.

Anyone else still hanging in?

ELV to us all.

42 weeks today.
I don't know if its a reason to celebrate, or not. I'm happy I can host this baby in the environment she needs, but now the pressure is on
Did anyone carry past 42 weeks? How did the HCP handle it? I have an appointment today, where the midwife will likely do a NST but apart from that I don't know what the future holds.

I hope everyone has had great deliveries and healthy babies! Is anyone else still pg?

I delivered at 41, but I can tell you what my OB and I discussed had I reached 42 weeks. He started NST at 41 weeks, but was so encouraged at the results that he said I didn't need to do another until my 42 week appt if I was still pregnant then. He said that they would "strongly" encourage me to induce at 42 weeks, but they wouldn't force it on me. He said at my 42 week appt we would discuss induction techniques, pros/cons of inducing vs staying pregnant, and would do another NST and maybe a BPP. But he made it clear that the decision was mine whether to induce or not.

Now, since I didn't make it to 42, I don't know if he would have followed through on his word to not pressure me into inducing. But he sure put on a good show of saying that the decision was mine.

10/10 and 42w1d along.
I had a NST yesterday, which looked great. Midwife wants me to come in Monday for another one, Tuesday ultrasound for AFI, and tentatively booked for an induction on Thursday. She did say the choice was mine, and we'd obviously consider effacement etc before going ahead with that. Overall I was very happy that nobody got into panic mode and the best news was that baby seems to be doing well.

Just wondering if anyone else is still pg? I was due the 26th- I'm thinking with other moms due later in the month there might be a handful of us, or no?

Not much longer....

LateMom, I'm so glad that nobody's getting overly anxious about you being past 42 weeks!!!

How are the others doing? Caitlyn? SarahDC? Are you guys the only ones left now??

Still here. Somewhat bizarre, given its #3.
Anyone else, surely I'm not the only one left? (Although for anyone else's sake I hope nobody has to go through this also)

Late Mom, I'm sending you a virtual hug. I can hardly believe my pregnancy is over. I hold her and she is so sweet....but no more kicks or hiccups coming from inside I'm glad I had the extra time to hold her inside of me even though I was going crazy part of the time. I'm glad everyone is being patient with you....let me once again sing the prasies of castor oil. I never had diahrrea or cramping with the small dose I took and it was enough to push me over. I had the most amazing birth I could ever imagine....I went from 5cm to pushing her out in less than an hour and a half. I only pushed for like 4 minutes....no tearing or bleeding I think these late babies have magic labor vibes because all of us have had spectacularly fast/easy labors. I'm praying you have the same.

Much Love,
Gini
