57 lbs

That's how much I've gained!!! Ahhh. That's 12 lbs more than I gained with my first and 14 more than I gained with my second. I really hope some of that is extra water weight! My b/p is fine though ... 116 systolic over 70 something diastolic. Feeling pretty good too. I think my fatigue/ickiness last week was me fighting off my ds' cold (didn't ever actually get it). I have a lot more energy this week and I'm getting a good deal of stuff done.

Minor aside: I was washing my newborn size baby clothes yesterday and some hot pink newborn pants bled all over some of my brand new sleepers! I thought it would be okay because they've been washed before. Luckily it came out with some chlorine-free bleach and a re-wash. Beware of the dark-pink stuff!

So how's everyone else feeling?

Anxious. I was due Oct. 1st, and I'm still hanging in. Other than feeling sore at the moment I am pretty good. Bp is good, no swelling, and I'm still mostly able to care for everything on my own. I feel more mentally exhausted than physically at this point.

On the weight gain subject, I've gained 22 pounds now. That is 8 less than either of my previous, but I am 12 pounds lighter than I was at the end of my last pregnancy. I can tell you I really feel the difference.

44

I have gained 44 so far, and right now I'm adding several pounds a week. Please oh please... I really hope that I deflate quite a bit right after he's born. I feel like a manatee! (Don't get me wrong, I feel beautiful. But BIG. Manatee big!) My knees hurt when I try to get up from the couch, and I really think that's all the weight dragging me down.

I gained a total of 61 pounds! I'm now on day 3 postpartum and I've lost 19 pounds already. Not bad--I'm very hopeful! And I cannot tell you how happy I am to see my ankles again for the first time in months!

I've gained 36 so far. BUT I gained 67 with my first and never lost it all, kept almost half on.

Yikes ... I really hope that doesn't happen to me!

I was due On October 2nd and am still hanging in, too, Gremco. I have gained 3.5 pounds so at least there is that! Just sitting here waiting on my babe.

Serenyd-I'm sure some of that is water weight. You will be able to lose it.

If you're planning on tandeming, you'll have no trouble losing the weight, esp where you didn't gain PP with the last baby.

I won't say what I gained, but I'm 265 lbs now so I already had reserves in place LOL. I'm hoping I don't gain a ton of weight PP like the last two times. I've got a plan of action and now that i'm GF and am NOT planning on taking metformin PP like I did before, maybe I won't be so freaking hungry like I am EVERY TIME I have a baby. Each time I loose a ton (like 30 or 40 lbs) the first month and then the second month my body goes into eating overdrive and and I'd STARVING and I put it all back on, sometimes with extra. Bleah.

Fyrebloom-This is SO ME!!! I lose a lot right away and then BAM in the second month start packing it back on and then some! I have hypothyroidism and I know that breastfeeding does something wacky to my metabolism. They really ramped up my thyroid meds during this pregnancy and I'm hoping that it doesn't happen that way this time. Luckily I have hardly gained anything so that should at least help!

Breastfeeding didn't take the weight off like some say. I nursed for 18mo(until i got pregnant and dried up). I'm curious to see if more comes off this time?? Actually I think my body is just different after having a kid, boobs bigger, hips wider, things just change! My shoe size went up permanently and my wedding ring never fit back on.

I always wondered about people telling me that breast feeding makes you lose weight faster. I've always been told you eat more when breastfeeding. I couldn't breastfeed either of mine, and couldn't even pump anything last time, but I still lost all my pregnancy weight by the eighth week.

Runs in my family. My Gma and at least 3 of my aunts have it & are on medication for it (not sure about auntie #4). My mom doesn't though, weirdly enough, and she's the heavy one. Sorry you guys have to deal with it, I know it sucks! My aunt L almost died before they caught it, she has a severe case.

I gained 30# and most of it came on since week 18 of the pregnancy. No wonder my belly looks like a road map with all the stretch marks. I like gained nothing the first 18 weeks then bam! Last week I gained 5# in one week alone.

I haven't gained all that much -- maybe around 15 pounds. I haven't had much of an appetite so I just haven't been eating enough I guess. I hardly have gained anything in the past couple months. Midwives don't seem worried though.
