Am I going to have a problem?

I am at work right now, for the first time in nine months. DH and I run a business from home, but I've picked up some part time work at a local winery. So I was all prepared to pump at work, but I forgot a crucial piece of machinery for the pump. I was able to hand express some milk about two hours ago, but I won't be home for another two hours (meaning 8 total of no bfing or pumping) and I'm worried about my supply dropping. I'll be here for the next two days as well, and if I remember all the pump parts tomorrow and Friday, I should be okay, right? I mean, aside from the fact that my boobs are uncomfortably swollen right now. I guess I should be glad I'm not leaking!

Assuming your baby is nine months old (or thereabouts) now, and that you have had no real supply problems before, then yes you'll be fine. Even if your supply did drop a wee bit (which I don't think it will), it should pick up very quickly once your feeding pattern returns to normal.

I agree with last poster that your baby is old enough that you shouldn't be in big trouble. I would continue to try and hand express. If your supply seems low later, just nurse as often as baby is willing and you might want to try some Mother's Milk Tea (which always seemed to help me when I had been sick with a cold and my supply seemed low because of it)
