EC lingo

I am so used to thinking of "misses" as "misses" and not "accidents" that I kind of reacted funny the other day when a friend of mine was telling me a story. She was telling me about how her three old had wet the bed. He is potty trained, but he had an "accident." She referred to it as wetting the bed. Then about 15 minutes later she was talking about how he's acting kind of funny, and had that accident and all, and I got all serious and said, "what happened??!!" I thought he had been in a car accident!! It's funny how we get used to certain words.

(This announcement brought to you by my inner procrastinator. Ok, time to work on those taxes....)

Kimberly, I am totally with you. I get confused when people refer to a miss as an "accident." Yikes. Accident...it sounds like such a big deal, like something really scary!
