What are you eating right now??

I'm curious, what kinds of foods are you all eating, or craving, right now?

My diet is a little funny at the moment - my nursling has a dairy allergy, which means most of my comfort foods - mac and cheese, ovaltine, and baked brie are out, but I'm still finding things to binge on

I've been enjoying lots of soups and stews - esp. a carrot soup that I found online, very yummy.

Anyone else have some favorites they'd like to share.

I love potatoes. Baked, casserole, soup - potatoes are so good.

Pretty much salty and sort of bland is good. I don't know which spices I'm going to suddenly dislike after I've started eating. Such a bummer.

And I hate sweets.

Sweets are out for me too, ick.

Other than that, whatever I can put Tobasco sauce, Sriracha chili sauce, or red pepper flakes on. Or, with tonight's dinner of hashbrowns and eggs, all 3 of them on it. Even my DH, who loves those things, was I've eaten all the habanero Tobasco sauce, the regular is almost all gone.

This is the way it has been with all of my pregnancies, though, so it's the norm for me. Right now it's the only way any food will stay down, the thought of anything else turns my stomach. Which is why when my mom comes to visit at the beginning of November, I'm going to have to go ahead and tell her.

I'm hitting the fruit and fruit juice pretty hard right now. Normally I hate apple juice because it tends to upset my stomach. Right now it is liquid ambrosia and I can't get enough.

I'm not too keen on meats right now. All I want is fruits and veggies. Which is fine, but ultimately not helpful when making dinner for my meat and potatoes husband.

anything that doesn't involve cooking. gag. I cannot do the smell of food cooking.

Another potato addict here, I'm roasting some now.
I also got some mandarin juice...

My plan is to do a cook up of lot of healthy veg on the weekend so I can still eat well but don't have to cook every night

anything and everything that I can get my hands on. Except spicy - everything even slightly spicy is way too hot for me right now.

And, everything I eat is giving me heartburn/reflux

No cravings yet.

I have to confess that I'm a bit awful about getting my veggies in, but yesterday I was very proud of myself--went to Panera and got a BBQ chopped chicken salad (yum!) and half a veggie sandwich. I hadn't had one of their veggie sandwiches before and it was actually quite awesome, nice and spicy. Hopefully I can keep this up for 9 months!

Today I have a pot roast in the crockpot for dinner tonight. That craving is mostly due to weather, not pregnancy.

For me it's milk and chocolate milk (the full-strength kind in the cartons). I didn't realize it until I bought a carton of it last night, but I do this with every pregnancy - go on a chocolate milk binge. It wouldn't be so bad except for the high sugar content. I'll finish this carton and then I'll have to stop buying it for a while.

This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving, so I'm looking forward to a nice turkey dinner with all the lovely roasted root veggies, pies, etc. I will be loosening my belt for sure, and it won't be because of the pregnancy!
