July 2009 DDC...Tell me about your bambinos!

Thread Starter
OK, my kid was born a week early...so in June...but at just over three months he's HUGE (and cute). He's into 6-9month clothes. I have no idea how much he weighs but I'm guessing around 17lbs.

He still eats every 1.5 hours...

Here he is: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...&id=1460359093

Anyone else??

Great pictures, he is so cute. I love his eyes.

DD3 is great. She will be 3 mo on the 17th. She's a big babe too, she was 14 lbs at 2 months and I am sure she's bigger now! She is so laid back (people tell me the third has to be!) and happy. And she loves her big sisters! Overall the transition to three kiddos has been easier than I thought it would be. We have our days of chaos but most days are pretty good.

My son is also big... he is 12 weeks old today and is about 16 lbs/24 inches. He is mostly a happy little guy and seems like he wants to go, go go... he started rolling front to back at around 4-5 weeks and usually wants to stand rather than sit when on someone's lap. We are enjoying him.

My little girl will be 3 months on Saturday. She is such a joy! She just got over an earache though, and is now on to teething.
At her 2 month WBV she weighed in at just under 12lbs and the Ped. told me that she is 'growing too fast' and I need to feed her less!
I don't feel so bad, seeing that she is right there or a tad behind her July DDC peers! She weighed in at 13lb 5oz yesterday.
She has rolled/tipped over a couple of times, but her favorite is 'standing' when papa helps her balance.

Makes me want another...

Hi everyone! Oliver is 3 months.. time is flying by!!!

We took some 3 month pics: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...0&l=efcc8c1d40

I can't believe its been almost 3 months already! Time sure marches on.

Kaya is really starting to mellow out but still not napping regularly. She does well at night, though, which has been a huge blessing. Her brother loves her so much, and even though I can tell some sibling jealousy is setting in, he mostly loves on her.

Having 2 babies in less than 2 years has been very hard on me. My entire life has changed in the last few years (in many more ways than just having children) and I am struggling with the adjustments. It is really hard to do anything with 2 very little ones!! I can't remember the last time I slept on clean sheets...

Everyone's babies are beautiful!!

I've been having a hard time adjusting too. I am trying to wean my 2 year old, but he is so demanding about nursing. I really want to be the kind of mother that enjoys tandem nursing, but I am not.

Luckily, Oliver is such an easy going baby.. I adore him!

My baby girl turned 3 months on the 2nd. She is also a big girl. She's over 14 lbs and in the 75-90th percentile. Looks like we have some nice big healthy babies around here!

I can relate... at my EBF son's 2 WEEK visit, he weighed just over 10 lbs (he was 8 lbs 11 oz at birth), and both the pediatrician I saw and the lactation consultant at the peds' office gave me this speech about how he was just "comfort nursing" and implied that he had gained too much weight too fast (they didn't even measure his height, which was proportional to his weight)... so ridiculous. Luckily, I saw a different doc at the same practice for his 2 month visit (at which he weighed almost 15 lbs), and she made a point of telling me not to worry, my baby was NOT "overweight."

Your baby sounds fine; enjoy her!

I guess my DS is the runt of the pack but that's ok, we're small folks in my family. He'll be 12 weeks on Sunday. I'm not sure how much he weighs now but he was 9 lbs 15 oz at his 2 month appointment. I'm sure he's well over 10 lbs now. He's a mellow kid who loves to laugh and look around at everything. He's currently getting over his first cold but he handled it pretty well.

Same here! DD is 11 weeks and just above 10# but that's up from her birthweight of 6# 1oz, so good enough for me! DH and I are both small people and DS was even smaller than DD at this age. I don't think he weighed 12# until his 6 month check-up. I remember him always being in the 1-5% for weight, LOL!!! Now he is 25 months and almost 30#! Yikes!

LizzyQ, I know what you mean about tandem nursing. DS was self-weaned before DD was born and I always said that if he wanted to nurse again I would welcome it. Well, the time came and he wanted to drink milk like the baby and I lasted about a week with that. I encouraged him to drink from the cup when he would ask to nurse and he lost interest after a few days. I don't think I could have kept that up - and I really never thought I would ever say that. Its ever evolving, this motherhood thing - that's for sure!

Small baby here too! DD was 6 lbs 9 oz at birth. Two weeks ago at 11 weeks old, she weighed in at 10 lbs 13 oz. She's 13 weeks old now, and I imagine she' squeaked into the 11 lbs range. She measured 24 inches long though, and is in the 90th percentile for height. I have a long, skinny baby with a big head LOL. Her head also measured in the 90th percentile at 16 3/4 inches. She's got her daddy's big head.

Last night she slept from 10pm to 5:30am and she put herself to sleep. We had our last feeding in bed, and she wasn't quite drowsy yet. She ended up sucking on her hand until she fell asleep.

DD is almost 3 1/2 months old now and she's growing well. She is now 12lbs 10oz, so she has basically doubled her birth weight (6lbs 6oz). She is just such a happy baby and loves to interact with everybody. She sleeps really well most nights and usually only wakes up once to eat. She has also started stretching the time between her feedings at daycare, so I am actually adding to my freezer stash since she doesn't eat everything I pump anymore.

Here's a pic of her from last weekend.

Well, DS is 2.5 mo old and HUGE, over 15 lbs!!! I am not used to it, b/c my other two boys were tiny, esp DS1, who was only in the 5% of the growth chart. Anyway, DS3 is doing great, he is sooo cute, he's but spiky hair and bulldog cheeks, it's a really adorable combination. He is soooo alert. My other two were not this alert by this age, I feel like DS3 seems older than he really is, maybe b/c he is big? Anyway, daytime napping is still a bit of a disaster, BUT he has been my best nighttime sleeper so far. BF has gone fairly well, except that he is already doing what older babies do, with the popping on and off, b/c of distractions. I am shocked. I didn't have this issue until my other two were older and can't believe I am going to have to deal with this already. Anyway, we enjoy him and I am really trying to do the whole, "enjoy your last baby" thing. He is a good last baby. Originally, we were going to stop at 2 kids, BUT DS2 was so horribly cranky all of the time, I did not enjoy him at all, b/c he was never happy. I'm glad I had a chance to do it again and this time around DS3 is a relatively happy guy. I just can't believe how fast he has grown. He is almost too big for size 6-9 mo clothing and in some 12 mo clothes!!! I have had a hard time trying to keep up with switching out his outfits in his closet.

Another big baby here (and my SO & I are both small people)

At his 2 month appt., DS was in the 85th percentile for height & weight- 24 inches long & 13 lbs, 5 oz. I am sure now, at 13 weeks, he must be around 16 lbs.

I was convinced DS was teething, due to gnawing on his hand & drooling. I mentioned this to his ped. at the 2 month appt. He said it is early & babies just do both of those. Well yesterday, I saw & felt the first tooth. Pretty crazy that he is already getting teeth.

No rolling over here. Not even close. Not sure if it is because DS is so big or is the cloth diapers are so bulky.

oh & here is a photo

nak

I think Jo is about 14 punds now. She isn't rolling over yet but she is so squirmy that I am afraid to leave her on the bed alone. She is obsessed with her hands- she is always sucking on them and looking at them, it's so cute!

Here she is in our first back carry- http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...geID=52960227#

Elizabeth is one of the small ones too. 7 lbs 11 oz at birth (at 42 weeks no less!) and about 12 lbs 6.5 oz. now. She was 3 months old yesterday.

She's a totally mellow baby even though sometimes she likes to fuss. I could just kiss her chubby little cheeks right off!

Caroline will be 3 months on Saturday. She weighs 13 pounds and is such a chunker. She smiles and coos. She can turn to one side but hasn't rolled over, probably cause she wants us to hold her all the time. She also loves sitting up.

Now some of our babies are almost four months. Mine will be four months in three days. I'd guess he's 15.5lbs and an average height.

I like this age so much better. It's a lot more fun. My little boy is so sweet. He's happy all the time, including at 1:00am and 5:00am. He makes so many happy noises. New tricks now include blowing bubbles, and trying to roll over back to front. He's made it twice and he mastered the other direction a while ago. He's so active and always wanting to move. I even got a few pictures of him sitting the other day. He unfortunately is a night owl and stays up until 1am every night. He so desperately wants to be awake to play. It's hard to not enjoy him because he's all smiles. He'll laugh too, but not easily. Spitting is much more fun for him.

Here's some pictures of my adorable boy.

This IS a good age. Paxton is 3 mo old and very smiley. I'm really glad that he is a smiley baby, b/c DS2 was NOT smiley, he was a grouchy baby and it just made it a lot harder for me on days when I was stressed out to have to deal with a baby who was always unhappy. Paxton is unhappy when he gets tired, but otherwise a joy to be around. He hasn't tried to roll yet, BUT that's probably b/c he doesn't spend much time on his back. I am always carrying him and he is a belly sleeper.
