who else is going to 42 weeks?

I'm 40 weeks 4 days. 1 cm dilated and 3 cm long cervix - same as last week. NO signs of labor. Even my BH have mellowed a LOT.
My m/w tried to sweep my membranes today but couldn't. She said baby's head is really high.
Non-stress test looked great. AFI & NST on Friday and maybe another attempt at membrane sweep.

I've been doing labor induction acupuncture, but I think I'll stop because today they left me on the table with needles and electrodes for an hour without checking on me. I overheated and couldn't breathe and they didn't hear me calling for help so I pulled out the needles and electrodes and bled everywhere.

Anyone else in it for the long haul?

On Tuesday I was 4 days past due and was only 1 CM dilated. Baby wasn't engaged. I had her Wednesday night after an approximately 2 hour labor. Don't lose hope, mama! It'll happen. I'm glad the tests all came back positively!

I just assume I am going at least 42 weeks. It can be frustrating but if you get in the right frame of mind it doesn't have to be bad and you will feel better if you just relax and know that your baby knows when to come

I was due Oct. 1. I'm being induced on the 12th if nothing happens. I haven't had contractions in a couple days, and that is nice. I was having a lot of prodromal labor, but I had an ultrasound Tuesday and the baby had a hand up punching my cervix. He moved it back during the ultrasound and I have only had one or two contractions since. I think it was just him setting off contractions, but not being low enough to go into labor. At least it got me to 3cm on the outside, and barely 2cm on the inside. I'll take that over starting from nothing.

tomorrow i'll be 41 wks. i have no idea when this baby will make an appearance and i know that it is out of my control.

No idea. I am 37 1/2 and spent at least half this pregnancy doing everything we could think of to keep him in and now all the signs of labor have stopped.

Who knows. DH thinks I'm going to 43 weeks so baby can be born on Halloween . I DS was induced at 41.5 weeks and twins were 39.5 weeks. I really wonder how long my body will hold on to the baby if not interfered with. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if I went 42+ weeks though.

I hope i'm not going that far! I just booked an accupuncture appt for 40 +3 cuz I know i'llbe suepr anxious by then.

I was 41-1 with my DD and my water broke. I was only .5 cm dilated. When they checked me at my prenatal appt 5 days before nothing was going on. I think though I stalled my labor with her the day before my water broke-trust me it can just happen all the sudden.

You never know. Have you tried all the home remedies?

With my 2nd child I tried everything. It actually got be be quite discouraging and emotionally exhausting to be doing everything and still have nothing apparently happen. With my third I reigned it in a bit, did plenty of prostaglandins on the cervix and some homeopathic remedies, and ended up at 42 weeks again. This time, I've just resigned myself to going to 42 weeks, if he comes earlier it will be a FANTASTIC surprise. I am still keeping up with the prostaglandins on the cervix, but won't be using any homeopathic remedies this time around. I'll just wait it out and have yet another castor oil induction at 42 weeks!
