Help, My Cat sneezed blood

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this. My cat always sleeps next to me on the bed and he sneezed pretty hard. Well it was dark and I didnt think anything of it, but when i woke up in the morning I noticed blood on the blankets where he sneezed and a little dried blood on his nose. We cannot afford at all to take him to the vet, but are going to call them tomorrow anyways. But do you think this is a serious problem or maybe just dry nose and sneezed too hard?
He hasn't had a cold and hasnt been sneezing at all other that the two times he sneezed in a row last night. Thats it. He's been acting normal, using the bathroom, and eating/drinking like normal too.

>> Another thing I noticed is that the very top of his nose had a line of dry blood on it. And there were two bigger spots of blood, and then little spray speckles of it. So I'm also wondering that since he was curled up in a ball that maybe when he suddenly sneezed he may have cut the top part of his nose with his claw, and then sneezed again causing the spray of speckled blood. Since the dry blood was mostly on the top rim of his nose, and only a tiny bit on the outside of his right nostril, I thought that that could be a possibility too. We do have a feather blanket, so maybe a feather got in his nose and cause him to sneeze, i know it does us sometimes, but I just hope he is ok!

Any advice? Thanks so much!!!

What did the vet say when you called? Did you get him from a shelter that has a vet on staff (or that visits) that could tell you if it sounds like something that should be checked or watched? Do you have other animals in the house that could have gotten in a fight with your cat and caused an injury to his nose - a scratch that caused the blood maybe?

There is really no way to know from here. I guess if my cat were otherwise healthy and acting normal, I would wait to see if the scratch healed and the episode did not repeat.

I know you can't spend money you don't have but as soon as you have it, if this continues, go to the vet. Spend your time between now and then tracking down the most affordable vet you can find.
