Looking for a cloth diaper vendor

We'll be trying cloth diapers with our first child, who is due Nov 25th. Gro-baby is the system we're going with first, and hope that it will work well for us.

My question is this: Where do you buy your diapers? I've not been able to find anywhere online that will allow returns after 30 days. If I'm going to shell out $400+ dollars, I'd like the security of knowing I can return within 90 days like most online (or brick and mortar) vendors. Heck, she's not even due for more than 30 days, but I'd like to be prepared in case she arrives early. I understand fully that any item would have to be in the packaging and new condition... I'm not thinking I'll try em for a month then return them =)

Is going with Bumgenuis from Target the only option if a 90 day return policy is our deciding factor? They will price match, which is nice, but we liked the gro-baby system more than the bumgenius.

If your ordering now for a NB that isn't due for a while simpily E mail the company and let them know I have yet to work with and CD company big or little that will not consider this when talking about possible CD returns. Don't wash everything you buy some places have a policy that only uwashed items can be returned for full price... But so consider trial packages ones that let you try out wash and use a few difrent kinds of diapers for a few weeks with our penilty.

Might I suggest buying prefolds and good covers for $100.00 or less.
Solves the money concern.

You also might want to start with a mix of a couple of brands to make sure of what you like. I am always leary to sell a newbie 1 brand, everyone likes something different and you don't know until you try it. Several companies have a 15 day try and use, then if you don't like it you can send the one diaper back minus the shipping.

I would wait to order, but if you are set on trying GroBaby, try contacting The Natural Baby company directly to see if they can work with you. You can also buy directly from them instead of ordering from another site. I don't think the prices are any different, but maybe working directly with the company would work best. Do you have any local stores that sell cloth diapers? Not Target or BRU, but they are often smaller, locally owned baby stores. They may also be more willing to work with you in what you need.

Now for unsolicited advice/opinion: I use some GroBaby diapers, but they aren't my favorite. However, everyone is different. I have found that pockets work best for us at this point (but that could change in the future). I did try a number of different styles/brands before deciding. I first bought some Fuzzi Bunz, then a few Bum Genius, then some GroBaby, and I have a couple Happy Heiney and Nubunz diapers as well. In the end, I have decided to stick with Fuzzi Bunz for most diapering b/c they work the best for us. I am glad that I tried a couple different styles/brands before deciding. There is a store where I live that has a cloth diapering class that goes over the pro/cons of a bunch of different diapers and they have a trial pack that you can 'rent' to use a variety before deciding. If there is a store that sells cloth diapers, see if they have something like that.
