I'll be 30 when this baby is born but my husband is 39 and obviously will be over 40 when we have our next.

My mom was 42 when she had the last of her 5 children.

I will turn 43 two months after this baby is born. I was almost 39 with #1, 40 with #2. This one is my wonderful little surprise! I am more healthy than a lot of younger moms, according to my mw.

This is funny as i always joked I'd have as many kids as my hubs wanted as long as it was before 30. Here we are at 29 expecting our fourth and very likely last natural child.

29 with number 3

I was 19 with my first. My second I'm expecting any old day now, and I am 39. My husband is 42. We are planning to have another one after this, if my body will cooperate.

Having raised a child as a young (single) mom, I am really looking forward to raising my second from a more mature standpoint. I did the best I could with my daughter, and I didn't do badly, but I understand so much more about life now. Not to mention that financially, I am MUCH more stable, and that was always a hurdle while raising my child. In many ways, we grew up together. So if you're looking for encouragement for those later-in-life children, you have mine!

I was 33 with my first, and will be 36 with my second (and Last!)

Go "older" mamas!

31 here. DH will be almost 39.

I'll only be 22 but DP will be 39. He's dad to my DS (bio-dad is actually my deadbeat XH) and thinks it's hilarious when he has to correct people about DS's age:
"Mine's 11 months"
"Yeah man, preteens are tough!"
"Um...11 MONTHS, not years!"
DP will also have his associates degree a few months after this baby gets here, so he's definitely a firm believer in never being "too old" for anything. And if Mother Nature didn't intend for him to be an older father, I wouldn't be pregnant

I will be 36 when little one is due in May. I was 31 and then then 33 with my first two. I will say I feel a bit more tired this time around, but other than that and some increasingly painful SPD, I still feel decent and am managing a 4 year old, 2 year old, a part-time high school English teaching position, finishing two masters level professional development classes, and running a household!

Thanks to all the mamas who posted that they were over 35 when they had or are going to have their first. DH and I have been ttc for over a year now and AF is currently here thereby ensuring I will be over 35 when we have our first. Reading these helps me feel better about it. Thanks again!
