Pimple on Areola

Hi, for the past week I've had a pimple like thing on my right areola. It went away after a couple of days and now has came back. It's red, inflamed and painful to the touch. The area surrounding the pimple is also red. I've tried applying moist heat, but don't know really what else to do. it does not have a "head' to it, but is starting to crust over on the top. My son is 19 months old and is now only nursing 1-2 times a day. I do not have a fever or flu-like symptoms so I don't think this is mastitis. Any advice is appreciated-thanks

It sounds like a clogged pore to me. Is it covered by your baby's mouth when he nurses?

His mouth doesn't cover it when he nurses, but his mouth almost touches it. It's on the edge of the areola. It's kinda sore when he nurses.

clogged montgomery tubercle maybe?

I personally use clay for any kind of thing like that. Super cheap and works wonders.
