Shettles?

I'd never heard of it until a few days ago and the way we DB'd last month it will be a boy. Has anyone had luck with it for previous children?

We didn't try using shettles either time, but last time we dtd about 12 hours before I O'd and got a boy. This time we dtd 5 days before so it should be a girl. However, I'm of the opinion that timing is just one of the factors involved in determining gender and other things can have an influence too (diet, body pH, etc.).

My understanding is that it, if anything, just nudges the odds very slightly. Going from 51% chance of boy, to 53% (for example, I don't know the exact percentages quoted). So, there's still no way you can say 'definitely boy (or girl)'. Still about 50:50

We used Shettles this time around to sway for a girl.

Of course it's still not a guarantee. I was pretty sure about my Ovulation date but if I was wrong by a day.....we may be getting a boy...LOL We'll see

this pregnancy though, I o'd early so my timing is a bit wonky- 5 days before, 4 days before, and 3 days before.. still hoping for a girl though.

Ah well... We'll see.

5,4 and 3 days before O should get you a girl. When done correctly shettles method is over 98% effective. It is so much easier though to time for a boy than a girl since all you have to do with boy timing is not bd at all or use protection up until the day you O. But for girl timing there needs to be at least 3 day cut off before with 5 days being optimal.

Some men actually make more of one kind or the other so that effects how things work as well.

Well we BD the day of so I'm hopeful!! Although I have a girl already so I'm set with everything if it is a girl.
