Hi everyone, some of you know that in Wilmington, NC we have been fighting to get our midwives back.
NC has awful laws when it comes to midwives, I am currently seeing a Home Birth Midwife illegally for the birth of our third child.
But they have gone one step further. The only office that had Nurse Midwives here in Wilmington fired them two weeks ago and dropped their midwifery program. Without even notifying their patients. So we had moms 9 months pregnant, now without their midwife they have been seeing their entire pregnancy. Their only option now an OB or an unassisted HB.
The main problem being that the hospital here require an OB to accompany the Certified Nurse Midwife while a mother is laboring. Crazy right!!!!!
We have been protesting for 2 & 1/2 Months.
We have a petition, it takes only two minutes online and we could really use your help.
