Nursing clothing that's not frumpy

I'm in serious need of nursing tops but am having a very hard time find items that aren't completely frumpy. I'd like something a bit more stylish if anyone you could share your nursing clothing tips I'd be grateful!

Also I need a dress for my daughters baptism in 2 weeks and I'm stuck on that too...

I don't have any nursing tops - I just wear a tank top under my shirt. Pull the shirt up, tank top down, and only expose what I need to.

Could you wear a buttoned blouse and skirt for the baptism? I know Japanese Weekend has some very stylish items, but they are expensive.

Dress -- find a stretchy faux-wrap dress and wear a tank top underneath.

My favorite top right now is this one -- it's super flattering over a postpartum belly! Worth every penny, though I hope to find some other ones from that line for a little less if possible! http://www.mommygear.com/majamas-uganda-nursing-top.htm

Oooh, I like it in grey. Makes me wish my (1-year-old babe) would tolerate nursing in public or when out and about - unfortunately i have to lie down with him at home these days, so there's not much need for a new nursing top, except sleep tops.

Wish I'd known about this store earlier. On the other hand, although my babe won't nurse outside of bed right now, I suppose it might be a phase and nursing tops will be useful again later. If so, I'll definitely revisit this website!

I have a couple of Bella Bands that I used during pregnancy to stay in my pre-preg trousers longer. Now they're useful for nursing: I just wear them under a regular shirt and they cover my side and stomach when I pull up the other shirt.

In terms of special nursing wear, I haven't had much luck. I bought 3 shirts from Motherwear and *hated* them - thumbs down - they are beyond frumpy and I feel stupid for buying so many.

I also have the Bravado nursing tank, which is very flattering and supportive, though a bit low-cut. What I don't like is that it's a drop-cup, exposing the entire boob, which is totally indiscreet and completely obviates the point of special nursing wear. Also the fastener is not easy to do and undo one-handed.

I think I'm giving up on the special nursing wear and will just stick with regular shirts and Bella Bands.

I wear a regular top and a tank top with slits in the sides under all my shirts, I can pull my top up and the tank stays down.

Motherhood Nursing has some cute tanks that i bought for this summer. they're certainly cheaper than the expresiva clothes, if that matters to you. also, i did some searching on Etsy a while back and there were some pretty awesome nursing clothes, just not in my budget.

That site has some cute ones. It's so hard to tell from online pictures though. The problem with the nursing tops is the multiple layers make all the tops really oversized and frumpy and shapeless.

I have ONE nursing top I like - it's the crossover top from Momzelle, there are two crossed bands but overall no extra layers so the shirt is trim.

The majamas tops look trim on the site - I like their Brasilia top - but do you find yours to have the bulky extra-layers problem?
