Do you need a doc's order for another beta? Happy update.

Can I just go to the lab and get one because I want it and will pay for it?

I do not feel pg at all, and this wait between my last blood test and first u/s is driving me nuts. I've got symptoms, I've had tons of those, but since I did IVF there is no way for me to sort out what is a pg symptom vs a hormone induced symptom- for instance I've been on estrogen patches for about 8 weeks, which made my boobs hurt, and progesterone since days before transfer which made me nauseous. Smell aversions and sleep disturbances, have had those also since b4 transfer.

This is really worse than the 2ww... I can't read my body at all and I'm usually so in tune with it.

I'm pretty sure that you will need a Doc's order because the lab usually cannot release results directly to you and must release them to a medical practice. I would think that your MD's office will order the test if you want it. Good luck!

Turns out you can't, but I did it anyway, and the guy in the lab gave me the results. He's taken my blood a million times for tsh, estradiol, now hcg, and I guess he felt sorry for me.

Beta was 12,200 at 25 dpo...

Great news! When is your first u/s or your next blood draw? Will you be going nutty again waiting?

good for you! I love it when people are nice like that, and now your mind can be more at ease.
