St. Louis MDC October Outting

I couldn't think of a good title, but I thought we should start a spinoff of the other thread where we were discussing getting together in October. I think it will be hard to pick one date that everyone is happy with. Maybe we can have two events.

Maybe Oct. 17, 10:30 at the playground. We'll go to Hartford Coffee if the weather is bad.

And

Something else. Any ideas? I always throw out Powder Valley because it's free and usually not very crowded. I don't mind hosting, either if just a few people come. Maybe it would inspire me to clean up.

We may be able to make the 17th at tower grove park. We have some family coming in town, but they are staying for a while, so I don't know if anything is planned for that day. Would be interested in anything else too! Always love meeting new friends!

Oh, I totally would except for that Babymania sale! Maybe if I get there early I can finish up and try to meet up with you guys. I will keep my eye on this thread and see what pans out.

Same here. I'll be at the sale, too! I go every season and can't wait to see what this one has to offer! I'll be there with my mom, dad and my DS and possibly one other friend. Depending on what time we get done, I'd love to stop by. Saturday's and Sunday's ALWAYS work out great for us!!

Would a later time work better? As long as I'm back by 1 or 1:30 for naptime, it doesn't matter to me.

So is it just the three of us, wendyland and alacrity? Looks like it might be rainy, should we plan on Hartford coffee? Anyone else coming?

I just head there may even be snow flakes in the morning. I'm still up for doing something. Or we can try again at another time. Or at a different place. I'm open.

Alacrity, sorry about your Gramma. I lost mine in 06 and I still miss her every day!

Busymama- I have never been to one, and there are a lot of things I am hoping to get good deals on, I am excited to see what it is all about.

Baby sale was disappointing. Everything was priced sooo high and I had to park across Lemay Ferry way in the far reaches of the back parking lot. I didn't end up buying one thing. Oh well.. I do look forward to meeting up with you guys soon!

Alacrity - I lost mine in 2007 - worst year of my life. I was in the room when it happened, etc., So sorry to hear that you lost yours.

littlecappy - the sale was pretty good. Since I'm having another boy, I did't really need that much, but I did get some good deals - a few sleepers, an outfit or two, some hats, a blanket, some shirts for DS, and a bouncer - all for about $10. There was a TON of girl stuff there. I couldn't believe it. But, I guess that's a good thing 'cause I would've spent more money than needed. My mom also picked up a pumpkin seat base for her car for $10. In great condition, too. They'll have another one in the Spring. Maybe we can all meet up and shop till we drop?

Also, I'm up for a November meet up. Mid mornings are best for us on the weekends. I look forward to meeting everyone soon!!

Yeah, I noticed that on some things, too. But you can always ask for lower - that's what I did with the bouncer and ended up getting it for $3!! It looks brand new.

Anyone up for Saturday, November 7th at hartford or somewhere else? I assume Halloween is out. We're free the day after Halloween though, too.

Also if anyone lacks Halloween plans there is an event in my neighborhood called Trick or Treat Street. Supposedly it attracts thousands of children. People decorate their homes and hand out candy. it is like a halloween block party. It is on Nottingham by Francis Park.

ETA: Sally, we're also free the following Saturday and could do both if people wanted to meet up.
