anyone have experience with this?
I havent had a uti in over 3 years, but I used to get them a lot. This cycle I tried the diva for the first time. I am over 30 and a mom so I got the bigger size but i think it might be too big. I am pretty sure it was inserted right and I didnt really feel it when it was in the first day, but the second day a few hours after i inserted it I felt like i was pressing on my bladder. I got cramps which i never get and now a few days later I have a uti.
I will try again next cycle but Im wondering if anyone has experience with this?

it started with cramps (which are not a normal period symptom for me, either, since my miscarriage) and turned into an early uti. and as an experienced keeper user and general women's health nerd, i am reasonably sure my technique had nothing to do with it (have not given birth nor carried a pregnancy past 2nd trimester so no reason to think that it's mis-sized, never had leaks with keeper or diva, etc.) anyway, from what i've read, keepers/diva cups press on your urethra the same way a diaphragm, cervical cap, or instead cup might, and can create a little pocket where urine collects, letting infection grow. sometimes women who have trouble completely emptying their bladders for other reasons get this type of "stagnant" uti, too. the recommendation is for them to stand and pee (in the shower, for example) so maybe you could try that?
