Hey! This is my first post in this forum! I think that's kind of exciting. So I am like the least crafty person ever. I am not artistic. I have never liked to draw/color/play with Play Doh/etc. It's just not me. However, I married someone who really likes art stuff and who wants our kids to have lots of access. But he's not home and doesn't know where to get stuff and has kind of turned to me and said, "Get started!" ACK!

So I come to my trusty MDC and ask you ladies, where can I get good quality, non-toxic materials for a toddler? I've read the ingredients on Play Doh and while I don't think it would kill her I don't especially want her eating it (and eating it is unavoidable). I'm aware that making my own stuff is cheapest and least toxic but that barrier will keep my kid from ever playing with anything artistic. It's not very nice of me, but it's true. I just won't do it.

I'm interested in crayons (the rocks look neat, does anyone have opinions on them?), different kinds of paint, some kind of modeling clay-ish sort of thing, and anything you ladies say OMG YOU HAVE TO HAVE because I am completely ignorant.

Thank you in advance to anyone who offers advice.
