favorite diapers, covers, etc

Hello all,

We have cloth diapered all of our boys. It's been 2+ years since we used cloth and there are a lot of new diapers out there.

Right now we are loving Thirsties duo wraps, and just tried BG's for the 1st time.

We have used the following in the past:

FB's, wonderoos, Apron Strings baby things AIO's, BSSW, proraps, very baby AIO's, fitteds and covers, prefolds, kisssaluvs fitteds and contours, wool longies and fitteds for at night and many others in the past. With my little guy I am using PF or Kissaluvs with duo wraps in the day and just started BG's at night. I want to know about some more of the newer lines before I buy anything, also I make diapers and I'd like to start sewing them again.

Can you tell me your favorite diapers/diaper covers, or pockets and why??

I have tried a lot out there, and my favorite system is fitteds with thirsties covers, duo wrap and original. My favorite fitteds are the kind with velcro like thirsties fab fitteds, and bum genius bamboo. fab fitteds are soft and easy to put on, come in fun colors and never leak. they dry faster than the bum genius fitteds. bg fitteds seem to be able to absorb more, and are very soft and easy to put on, but they are small in sizing, so order one size larger than you would want. I think they may be like one dollar cheaper than the fab fitteds too. If I could do it over again, I wouldnt spend any money on different covers or pockets or prefolds, I would stick with what I told you. all of my pockets leak like crazy, despite that I was doing everything right according to the recommendations. I dont like prefolds because for me they are more trouble to put on and seem bulkier than fitteds.

First of all? I've found MOST cloth diapers with a decent reputation for quality work JUST FINE. There are personal preferences, a lot of them, but as far as "not working," those experiences have been very rare, and we've tried a lot.

My favorite diapers are prefolds, and my favorite prefolds are regular 4x6x4's because they fit forever and dry quickly. At different times I liked to use them Snappied under a Mother-ease air flow cover or laid into a Bummis Snap Wrap or Blue Penguin Wrap 'n Snap. At night we just used two of them.

As far as other diapers go, my favorite flats are the gauze ones from Integrity Diaper Company, my favorite fitteds are organic cotton Mother-ease One-size (although I like their organic cotton Sandy's a lot too and I think I will like the Growing Greens diaper I ordered to try...also I liked Kissaluvs but didn't use them much past the first few weeks), the only pockets I've used enough to have an opinion on are BG and they were fine but she outgrew them before potty training, and my favorite AIO's are Bumkins and Blue Penguin Elites, both of which must be used with doublers, but I'm fine with that.

My favorite covers are Mother-ease, Bummis, Blue Penguin, and Dappi nylon pants, with Proraps being acceptable too. We also used homemade wool quite a bit.

I don't think I'm going to try too many of the new products this time around, although I am madly curious about the Sposoeasy, the Econobum, etc. I don't want to get sucked into new stuff when old stuff works.
