newborn tongue is white

My 2-week-old has a white tongue. I have heard this is a symptom of thrush, but I seem fine - no pain or sore nipples or yeast infection and she nurses constantly without problem and I seem to remember my son having white on his tongue - is it just the milk?

My DS had a whitish tongue but no thrush. I'm not sure why. It didn't interfere with his nursing and gradually went away..

It's milk tongue. Completely normal. I was worried about it too and asked my lactation consultant at the hospital. She said thrush would also show up on the roof of the mouth, and possibly the nipple too.
