Shachar613, this is YOUR thread! We'll ask questions for you to answer and you can add in anything else you'd like to share about yourself, your pregnancy, and your family. Anything at all!

Other June mamas, ask any question you like, it's all fair game. Of course, our spotlight mama can decline to answer anything that makes her uncomfortable

These first few are from our intro thread, so we can all remember who you are!

Hi, all! I just finally got the chance to sit down at the computer right now. So excited to do this.

EDD: I think June 1st-ish.
Name: Devorah
Age: 24
Location: Cleveland, OH
Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, David, and 22 month-old Talia
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): no idea--and I was totally wrong last time, so I'm not even going to hazard a guess this time!
Names you like: Ilana for a girl
Birth Plans/Preferences: a HBAC. We just interviewed a great midwife and I feel really good about it.

And a few more so we can get to know you better!

Have you spilled the beans yet? If so, any stories to share? If not, when and how do you plan to? We haven't told anyone yet! I'm still kind of coming to terms with this pregnancy.
Occupation: I run a tutoring company and I also do a lot of energy work on the side (EFT/TAT, for those who have heard of it).
Hobbies/Interests: I'm artsy and love painting and decoupage. I also love organic gardening and Montessori homeschooling my toddler.
Share one weird/interesting fact about yourself: I'm actually one of few people in the world with no country on my passport since I was born in a part of Jerusalem that was disputed between Jordan and Israel.

How did you meet/start dating your husband? Any good stories about your dating/engagement/marriage?

I remember you studied Hypnobabies with your DD, do you plan to try it again this time?
DH and I met in Jerusalem. DH was there trying to find himself and I was studying congenital ambiguous genitalia in the Middle East, which made for some pretty good cocktail party conversation. We met at a party and I liked him and asked him out. And I actually knew on the first date that he was The One. Now, it took him a whole lot longer to come to the same realization as me, but he figured it out eventually!

I did try hypnobabies with Talia, and you know what... I didn't find it to be all that great. Kind of a bummer. And I'm totally the type who can get really into hypnosis, since I do a lot of energy work professionally, but the program just didn't work for me. I listened to the CDs faithfully, read everything, did all the exercises, and still had the most excruciating 48- hour back labor. So I don't think I'll be trying it again. I know it works for many women, but it just wasn't for me. Steph, you did Hypnobabies, too, right? What did you think?

I know it's not for everyone, but I loved it. I think it helped me a ton and is one of the reasons I had such a short, easy birth. I bought more CDs to use this time and plan on starting even earlier in hopes that this next birth is even more wonderful!

What is your big comfort item/food?

I loove mochi with cream cheese and honey. Yummy. And also, whole wheat crackers with fresh basil, cheddar cheese, and tomato. Actually, that's really just about all I want to eat right now.

What do you love most about being pregnant?

I love feeling the "vibe" of the baby in utero. With my DD, she just had this huge, beautiful presence and I sensed that she was really into music. This baby's a lot quieter, so I'm not sure what's going on with him or her yet. Or maybe I'm just so busy chasing after my toddler, I'm missing all the signals.

Is there something you will do different this time round? A home birth! Actually, a HBAC. And I'm so excited to push a baby out of my vagina!

Is there something you would def do the same this time round? Def. regular chiropractice care. That's what saved me when I had terrible back pain last time around.

How did you go from genitalia to tutoring? I kind of just fell into my current job. I loved academia, but I found that it was really hard to devote myself to research and be a mom. With a tutoring company, I can run it from home and be with my daughter most of the day. At night, when I have a lot of students, DH watches DD.

What's your favorite book?

Fave movie?

If you could have one day alone to do whatever you wanted, what would it be?

If you could travel anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?

What is your zodiac sign?

Any name possibilities picked out?

What's your favorite book? That's a hard one. Probably anything by Alfie Kohn.

Fave movie? Harold and Maude

If you could have one day alone to do whatever you wanted, what would it be? Probably something artsy, like a bit decoupage project.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, where would you go and why? Definitely back to Jerusalem, where I'm from. We haven't been back since before we had DD.

What is your zodiac sign? Sagitarius

Any name possibilities picked out? DH and I can't agree on anything! Last time, the only name we agreed on was Naomi, but then DD was born and totally didn't look like a Naomi. So we ended up with Talia, which I loved and he was so-so about. No ideas for this time yet!
