I definitely feel heavier and that she is down lower today. I bet that has a lot to do with it. She just needs to wait until Sunday and all will be well.

I agree-in my experiences going #2 more often means labor is coming soon. On the day of every labor I "cleared out" before contractions started

Thank you all for all your kind words re my dh getting laid off.

The thing that adds a layer of craziness to the whole thing, is that our whole goal is to buy some land. We've been looking for a nice piece of land, but we've always had to look within decent commute distance to portland, oregon where my dh's good job was. Land right around portland is really expensive! OR, we thought maybe we'd find some land somewhere else, & just hold onto it for yrs until his job went away for whatever reason. That was always a depressing thought to me- I'm SO excited to get to work building up our homestead.

ANYWAY. Now that he's not tied to that job, we're now free to look at land *anywhere*! Suddenly a whole bunch of new doors are open. Instead of settling for 1 acre around here, we might get 15 acres near Spokane , Washington or something. Provided my dh can find work up there.....

So, our brains have just been whirring around on all this. NOT that I want to leave my friends here!!! But that's a whole other subject.

Anyway, we're both freaked out, AND excited at the same time. I hope it all works out!

And on a TOTALLY different subject, that whole bowel cleaning out thing you guys are talking about? That is the *only* thing at all I can look back on & say was a sign that my labor was approaching. I mean, I had zero other signs, I had no clue I was suddenly going to go into labor on Monday. But looking back, I did have much bowel emptying that day. Otherwise, nothin' !

Yesterday was contraction land day. My girls had a dentist appointment in the morning and then we went grocery shopping, and the entire time I was contracting. They've been real contractions for a few weeks now, but yesterday they were back to back. My husband got worried and did (in my mind) the stupidest thing ever. He called his sister to see if she was home and could *maybe* watch the kids because I was *maybe* in labor.

Of course I knew they would slow down when I got home, went to the bathroom and had something to drink. And then I had to deal with, "Did your water break???? Are you having the baby??? Are you having contractions??? How do you feel hunny?" from his sister.. (ugh, don't call me hunny)

My labors simply do NOT start that way. Of course I'm fine. I told you I'd be fine. I told you NOT to call anyone! URGGHHH. He apologized. A lot.

And of course they did slow down later at home. I'm still getting them, but its no big deal. And for some reason whenever I'm in the van I have them constantly. I think its the position of the seat or something, because the van doesn't even have to be moving to cause it! Weird!

Diarrhea for a solid week now, but I'm thinking its because my little guy has Fifths Disease. I'm 99.9% sure he's got it, slapped cheek look and all. And it matches up with "cold" we thought we all had this past week.. and my diarrhea. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to call my doctor about it since I'm not in the first trimester anymore? (insert head scratch smilie here)

On a happy note, dh finally did a belly cast on my last night! I've never done one before, so I really wanted baby to hold on til we could get it done. All week we tried to start it but kids prevented it. Last night we JUST finished it before the little guy woke up screaming again. I love it! Except I think it shows my boobs are a little lopsided. Oh well. hehe We had fun doing it. And it was probably the only moment this pregnancy where I've felt like this was important and a big deal, and not just embarrassed because of what others are saying. I felt happy and proud to be having baby #5 soon!

How much plug can one person lose?? I have been losing my plug with blood and without blood for a constant 3 days now. And not just a little every time. HUGE globs that clog my toilet with the amount of toilet paper it takes to keep wiping it out of me!!! It's THE GROSEST THING I'VE EVER HAD TO DO!!! And I've never had this much with any of my other pregnancies. Tres bizaro!

I'm living vicariously through all of you still waiting for your babes. My labor and birth is starting to feel far away already. I'm really excited for the next wave of babies although it doesn't seem the current wave has let up. Every time I come on I see another birth announcement. I'm having trouble keeping up! I know you ladies are anxious. I hope you don't feel abandoned. A lot of us are still here cheering you on and I, for one, will be here until the last baby has been born!!!

Zjande-I'm really sorry to hear about the untimely loss of your husband's job. You have an excellent attitude that when one door closes a few more open. I hope you are able to find the land you want and a new job that is close to that land. Hopefully you won't be too far from all the friends you have made. I hope you are enjoying your babymoon.
