Can I use 80%wool/20%nylon sweaters for my longies? Will they be bulletproof?

You have to use 100% wool for them to work

I have heard mixed opinions on this. Woollybottoms does not accept wool/nylon blends for their sweater trade program, but they do accept lambswool/angora/nylon, so I'm a bit confused. I have even read that you can use 100% acrylic, just not as waterproof. thanks, keep it comming!

No, you can use a blend. I have used several 80/20 blends, and even other blends(with alpaca/angora, etc) They all work, but you should make sure there is at least 80% wool in them. And no cotton/bamboo/silk, keep it at synthetic or animal fibers, no plant fibers.

I didn't think Woolybottoms were taking sweaters at all anymore, because of the CPSIA stuff, I last heard they were having their own fabric milled.
