VOTE for the best vegetarian cookbook - Page 3

Another vote for the Bittman one! I have something of a cookbook problem (I have a few hundred) and this is my absolute go-to. I use it almost every day, I swear. Sometimes just for ideas or techniques: not even following a recipe.

I'm the only person in the world who really dislikes Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone. I've never made anything from that book that I find to be interesting or all that good. Nothing really BAD: just everything kind of blah. The recipes also always seem to require hard to find and expensive ingredients. I keep trying to like it, because on polls like this one everyone always says it's their favorite, so there's got to be something to it... but I just don't see it.

I'll have to get a copy of Veganomicon.......I keep hearing great things about it.

I love Laurel's Kitchen and Vive le Vegan (Dreena Burton) also. Another favorite is Thrive: The Vegan Nutrition Guide to Optimal Performance in Sports and Life by Brendan Brazier. A quick read with some great recipes and it was my introduction into raw/unprocessed foods. It had a big influence on me.

I am not at all creative in the kitchen so cookbooks really help me - I use them quite a bit.

Munchie Madness is a favorite with my kids

and I borrowed: Veganomicon and would love to have it. The few recipes I made from it were delicious!
