14wks tomorrow and just hoping to get through this week feeling the reassuring movements from baby everyday. I lost my last 2 pregnancies at 15wks, so as long as I feel movement, I'll be less anxious until my midwife and peri appts next Monday.

Sadly that's not abnormal around here. Luckily I am having one or two good days a week (meaning, I throw up 5 times instead of 10+, and I eateateat on those days) and those days buoy me through the week. I've lost 15lbs now, and my blood pressure is getting pretty low, so my midwife is planning to come by tomorrow, and every few days after that, to give me IV fluids if I am not keeping things down. She also brought over some more phenergan, even though it knocks me out, so I can not use it unless I have someone to watch my girls.

When i write it out like that I feel worse about the situation than i do when i just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Even my DH doesn't have a scope on how bad it is usually, and after yesterday's midwife appt where he heard me tell the MW about it, he pampered me all afternoon (and let me fall asleep at 6pm, right after dinner, in hopes that my food would stay down.)

And yeah, there is twin speculation, though I am not convinced. I'm feeling movement fairly early, measuring large, and am sicker than I was with my girls, but I know that isn't unusual for a third pregnancy. The unknown (and constant commentary from friends and strangers) is ratcheting up my anxiety about it though, so we're going to go for an ultrasound in a few weeks.

Pepper - I hope your day picks up. But WOOOO about DH's new job!

sew_crafty_girl - I hope this week brings lots of reassurance and peace.

My big news for the day:

MY DAD MOVED OUT!

He's been living with us for 2-3 months now, and while I love him, he has some mental health issues and other things that make him impossible to live with. We have a very strained relationship, and so its taken a huge toll on me having him here. Plus its a small house, so we had no real family time for just the four of us unless he was gone or we left our house.

He's renting my mom's house from her since she is living with her new s/o (yes, that WAS us on Jerry Springer! ). He'll keep her two chihuahuas but not my dachshund that stayed with my folks when I got married. So I also got my dog back! And he likes to sleep at your feet and is super warm. Just in time for winter!

So far a good day. Now to figure out what to cook for lunch and then supper. Hmmm....

I am so sorry for everyone who sick. Hoping it goes away soon.

13 weeks today. Not much has changed really. Bigger than ever due I'm sure more to eating then baby But I am getting to the gym at least five days a week, sometimes six. My energy is starting to return, and the sick feeling has abated to only nights.

My kids are driving me mad which is normal for me during pregnancy. With my son I thought I was crazy, and beat myself up over it. Now when I get really annoyed, I just go to my room, lie down, and wait for it to pass. The kids know to leave me a lone! My girls and their fighting has really reached a fever pitch this week. I don't know what it is but they can't be around each other for more than five minutes before someone hits someone else. Of course this morning my sick middle daughter BEGGED to me let the little one stay home from preschool. And yes we've had fighting off and on all day.

And yes sick middle child. Not sure what's going but she's been running a high fever off and on since Sunday. We got the fever down Sunday around 4, and she perked right up. Ate fine, was energetic, etc. We figured it was bug and sent her to school. Monday around 3:30 it hit again. By the time I got her home from school, she was sobbing, holding her head, and running a high fever again. She ran this fever all afternoon and night and had a headache. She's fine now but I didn't dare send her to school. She was starting to look glassy eyed earlier but has recovered. A nurse friend said that H1N1 is acting like this in younger children. We'll see. Of course half her school is out.

I had my appt today and heard the heartbeat. Strangely, the online due date calculators say I am due April 23, but I was told today it was April 16. I didn't realize they'd said that until after I'd left. I'll bring it up next time b/c I'd rather stick with April 23. The office didn't seem to realize I'd already had a pregnancy test at the office a month ago. It should be right there in the computer so I don't know why they would see that. Well, other than someone didn't ever record it in the computer which wouldn't be a big surprise to me.

We're moving this week. Just got my first load of stuff in the kitchen. Looks like it's going to rain, though, so I'm sitting here on MDC until it clears. I have to post pictures of this house we'll be living in. You guys will be floored. Half of it is in beautiful shape, the other half you wouldn't let a stray dog sleep in.

*sigh*

But at least we will be able to rent out our other house soooooooooooooooooon!

Felt sick all morning long. Ate 5 different times before lunch. Ate a big lunch. Finally not feeling sick. But currently feeling so tired that I just want to cry.

I keep toying with the idea of going home...but I don't want anybody to think I can do my job because I'm pregnant. Plus I don't have much sick leave saved up (3 days sick, 2 days vacation), so if I start using it just because i'm tired I won't have any left if I get some actual illness.

WAAAAAAAHH.

:yawning:

Can't wait to see pictures, Sara! Good luck with the moving!

ivymae, i'm so glad to hear your midwife can step up your care like that. i was trying not to say it, but i was kind of freaking out, wondering whether you shouldn't have IV or something, for you and for the baby. i really hope this starts to right itself soon! you're clearly doing everything you can do.

rhiorion, to you! i think you are wise to save those days, but it must suck so badly right now.

smeisnotapirate, can't wait to see your house! are you guys going to be renting it? i mean, the parts that are scary, are you fixing up, or just closing off? sounds like an adventure! my brother rents a house that is like that - some parts they just close off, like the addition that is kind of falling off the back, heh.

The sad thing is, in terms of hypermesis, this is a mild version. I am not in pain, I'm not dehydrated regularly, I'm generally upbeat about it, and I have a ton of support. I think maybe knowing how bad it CAN be makes it seem pretty trivial. That isn't to say I'm not cranky about it some days, but I'm pregnant, if I were not cranky about this, it would be something else (like the weather. Grrrr.) I'm still hopeful that it will ease up, but for now, it's just one foot in front of the other, and I get the best pay off of all for crossing the finish line.

We'll be living in our crap-tastic new (old) house, which is half-fixed and half-terrible. We'll rent out our lovely little rowhouse downtown - the only thing I don't like about that house is the on-street parking (street cleaning sucks!!! ) and our teeny postage-stamp yard. The house itself is beautiful - and in a great neighborhood - so we're hoping that we can get a renter quickly.

Our new house is big enough that we have a friend coming to live with us. She'll be renting a bedroom, and have free reign of the house - more of a roommate than a rental situation. Here is our album of before/during photos - I'm the one with my head covered.

We still need to post pictures of how the house looks now. We've finished the 3 bedrooms, the bathroom, and the kitchen.

oh thats nothing! i could write a soap opera and maybe go for 3 seasons! i should do that and make TONS of money and no one will know....it's all real! hahahahaha!

dena~ ds acts like that too! we don't have a door anymore on the bedrooms so now he just tells me what he thinks i should do. of course i was in NO mood last night and just kept telling him to stop it and be quiet cause he's going to get grounded MORE if he keeps it up. but gosh he just really stops for a minute when i tell him he can't be 5 anymore. i have a little power left *whimpers and looks wide eyed with fear* haha

i had a horrible headache too last night! just pouding and of course the kids were using the highest pitch in their voices and being completely CRAPPY. just craptastic attitudes. i'm really dissapointed in the availability of support and services for kids who don't make the cut off for kindy and for poor people. i am "recently" poor (divorce) so my taxes are still from dh and i together but hey it's not like i'm getting ALL his income now...hello! so some places are still a little hard. i gotta find the local headstart but they require last years stuff so i may have to fight even IF theres a spot available. i can't seem to find anything and i KNOW he's bored and that's half the reason he's acting out (then there's his dad not giving him a lot of attention, confusion over where my ex bf is and just being a normal smart 5 yr old with no interaction!) i haven't even added in the baby stuff yet!

smeisnotapirate~ *waves hands and squints* "SLEEP!" did that help? yeah didn't think so...didn't work on mine at 10 the other night either.

we moved about a week ago and i'm not quite done but i'm gonna post pictures (and decorating advice is 100% welcome!) when i get the last 3 or 4 boxes put away (when I figure out WHERE to put them) however no one is allowed to look in the back yard....i need a storage shed.

for all those with weather concerns...your welcome to come camp here. it still gets up to 80 and i have to run the swamp cooler for an hour to make it cool in here in the middle of the day...which i should go do now.

i have an appt tomorrow...! also need to call the wic office tomorrow. don't let pg brain take over!

erika~ it's alright. i promise you it is. i know how you feel and i'm right there with you and you aren't alone. we aren't hurting our babies but that doesn't mean that we are superhuman and just automatically fit right into that glowing pregnant mother. you're doing better than i am. i haven't even thought about a boy name and refuse to even think about it until i am 20 weeks and have that u/s at the right time. i'm really glad to hear that you feel ownership towards the baby and i think that you'll do great with processing whatever comes down the road. i'm cheering for you!

Bought a maternity swimsuit today and a new pair of pants. On the weekend I went up a bra and underwear size. I find it kinda depressing that I'm getting to the high end of standard sizings and I'm an average sized woman. How do the fluffy moms manage?

I'm torn about buying new clothes, but like to try on clothes before I buy, so I'm not sure Ebay will work for me and I've never done the consignment route so I wouldn't know where to start in my town. I've outgrown a most of the clothes I bought in my first couple of m/c pregnancies already. Feels like I've thrown away a lot of $ on mat wear.

Sara, that house is AWESOME! Wow. Is the new kitchen in the room that previously had the weird heah-height border and the old-style sink w/draining sides?
That does look like a LOT of work. It's great that you have so many people involved in the restoration. Good luck!
Christine, I would start in the phone book - most kids' consignment stores carry maternity stuff too, and you can take your old stuff in and get store credit toward "new" stuff, either for you or the baby, which is awesome.

My favorite store around here has everything - clothes, books, nursing pillows, strollers, slings, toys, you name it. They may even have bras and underwear, but frankly I have never checked. I, uh, like to buy SOME things new.

Also, I have scored some great stuff at Goodwill - I have found better stuff, though, at the ones in or near the upper middle class neighborhoods.

smeisnotapirate, that house is so cool! It reminds me of my grandparents' farm house. My inner nerd loves to sit back and think of all the people who lived there and what their lives were like in that house in the past and on and on...

It looks like you are putting so much hard work into it. It will be so worth it though, to own a house full of character like that. I love the kitchen so far!

There are a lot of older houses like that in my area that come with land, and they're so cheap. I can't seem to convince my DH that it's a project we should take on. Well really, I'm lucky if my DH mows the yard...fixing up a house on that scale would never happen.

Since he just got his new job I'm trying to convince him that we should try and move. (We were all set to move before he lost his old job.) I have my eye on this place...

http://search.lbar.com/mls/details/r...al/916833.html

I wish. *sigh* The challenge would be selling the house we live in now, while we're living in it. We can't afford to own two houses at once.
