rubella vax & breastfeeding?

I've searched and only found a little info on this. Some places say the vaccine will not transmitte through breastmilk, and some places do. I think the cdc says it does and can cause rashes on the baby?

Does anyone have any more info on this, or a good place to look? How long does the rubella vaccine immunity stay in your body? Is there any long term research on how it could effect future pregnancies or fetus? I remember being paranoid we'd concieve those first few months, even though I was ebf.

After reading about the rashes, I'm wondering this-I was suckered into getting the rubella at discharge from the hospital. Not long after my ebf ds developed these odd target rashes that the drs could not explain. I wonder if they were from the rubella vaccine? I haven't looked up pics of German measles yet, so will do so and compare.
It's a little odd to possibly be finding an answer for this 4yrs after the fact, and no one would prob believe me now. After 4 months and him having mild vax reactions-one of which we thought the rashes were from, I'm glad we stopped. But, I wish I'd have known more info on rubella when they told me I needed the vax.

Well, the pics don't look the same, but they look an awful lot like a rash he broke out w/ a few months after the target lesions went away. Still looking for more about rubella though.

Well, if I were you, I would askto have his immunity to rubella checked. If he actually contracted it from you, I assume he would have immunity. Maybe you're theorizing that he developed a rash but it was a reaction rather than rubella itself?
