Generic Lamictal???

Is it true? Is there really a generic? I was reading the other Lamictal thread and I read that there was?! I was dx'd 2 yrs ago, as bipolarII but am uninsured so lamictal was cost prohibitive. I am so excited to think there is a generic! I have been managing things with diet and fish oil and while it has helped....it is not ideal!

I'm going to make an appt right away. Does anyone know hoe much generic lamictal would be?

so excited!!! (and no, I'm not manic )

The generic is Lamotrigine but I'm not sure its that much cheaper (mine is like $300+ for 100mg daily). Maybe you can find it on one of those $4 script deals.

ETA: Just went and looked at the info on mine, I was wrong, its $156 mo at 100mg day.

I think mine is about $125/month. But, I know there are some discount codes available online. I just haven't looked yet.

I'm totally ignorant to cost due to awesome health insurance, but my deductable went from $30 to $10. Hooray for ending patents!

Yup, I'm on generic and because of our financial situation we are on a state funded healthcare plan (but not medicaide) and I pay NOTHING for my script of 150mg/mo. Absolutely nothing, I almost cried when I went to the pharmacy because I didn't know if the plan would even cover it. Tax dollars finally working for me for all of the years that I had a job and payed nice high tax rates.

Is there one of those free prescription cards for it? One of the drugs my husband is on he gets with the free prescription card. He is BPII
