My oldest night weaned after a horrible struggle around 18 months. Neither one of wanted it but my dh insisted. She would stay latched on all night.
With her sister it has been much easier. I nurse her to sleep in her own bed and when she is done I go to my room. She ususally comes to our room in the middle of the night to stay and for some "Iya". For the last couple weeks instead of asking for Iya she asks for Ug. (hug) She gives me a quick hug and then snuggles down in the covers next to me. Its so sweet.
Her second birthday will be next week.
