DH's work is switching insurance providers in November. Do I need to hold off going to a Dr until we are switched to avoid having a pre exsisting condition? I am probably going to have to out of pocket my midwife but I'm planning to go to a doctor ( don't have any MW in my town) for labwork and any US.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Lisa, your current company will send you a "certificate of creditable coverage" that you will forward to your new company so there is no break in coverage and no change in status for a condition. I just went through this over the summer. You can call your current company now to get the ball rolling or maybe your husband's company will take care of it for you. You're going from group plan to group plan I assume.

when it comes to company provided insurance nothing is considered "preexisting" and you don't have to worry about that. if his company switches from one company to another it's all relevant. I think mine is going to change at the beginning of the year as well, but until then I have X and everything just switches over.
If you had private insurance then I would say you might have a problem, but once they dated the insurance it would still be considered "preexisting" because of how far along you are. Don't worry corporate insurance just doesn't work that way mama.
