Red bump on areola

I've had a red bump (looks like a spot) where my areola begins for about a week. It's getting redder, bigger, and more sore. I'm pretty sure it's not a clugged duct which I've had before.

Any ideas what it is and what I should do?

Thanks.

I"ve just had one of those too - pretty painful! But it's gone again now, after a couple of weeks. I put a couple of dabs of tea tree oil on it, but nothing else.

No idea what it was though and don't know that I've been any help! Hope yours clears up soon.

Thanks for posting, I haven't been able to find anything about it online, so your post was reassuring. I'll just see how it goes I guess.

Is it a milk blister? A couple of drops of lavender essential oil applied neat (non diluted) will work wonders. Just be sure to wash your breast off before nursing.
