Puppy food

We just got a new puppy and when visiting a vet for the first time, he gave us Science Plan Healthy Development starter pack with puppy food, dry and canned.

I read that SP is not good food so I'm considering switching to another food.

We can get Canidae food or Bio Mill.

Should we switch or wait and see how our puppy reacts on SP food?

When I got my puppy pack from the vet when I brought my puppy there for the first time, it had Science Diet dry food in it, so I gave her some and she peed blood for 2 days Like, literally peed for 2 days, I had to keep her in the bathroom with newspapers down because she was constantly leaking bloody pee.

I think you should feed your pup whatever food you feel comfortable feeding and watch to see how her body responds to it. You don't need to feed the food your vet gave you, they give it to everyone with new puppies.

I feed my dog (same puppy, but now a year and a half old) a dry food that's specifically designed for sensitive skin and contains no allergens, as she was really allergic to the corn and other things in her previous food.

Canidae is a very good food. It was what I fed before we switched to raw.

Thanks for your answers.

Just an FYI: Vets often get kick-backs from giving out those starter packs.

Feed what you are comfrtable feeding and what your pup does well with, whether it's Purina, Science Plan (I've heard of Science Diet - SP is new to me), raw, etc..

We feed raw, but when we have to board or use a commercial food - I really like the Wellness brand. We feed Wellness CORE - but they also have a puppy line.

Of the 3 foods you've listed, I like Canidae the best. Its a great food, and more natural than your other options.
