Congratulations! I'll go read your birth story now, but I thought it was funny how similar your labor sounded to mine (though this was only my 2nd) - 5-ish hours, no sign of labor the night before, short but PAINFUL pushing stage, 8 lbs 12 oz baby! But ours was a girl! I love my boy, though, I hope you enjoy your posse of them!

Not too long, honest (birth stories never seem long to me), but I know what you mean about writing it for yourself, really. And I hope it might be helpful for my daughter if she ever wants to read it.

I really enjoyed reading your birth story and the pictures! I can totally relate to crying when you realize you're in labor, realizing the immensity of what you're about to experience!

I'm glad you followed your intuition and had the midwives there, and you were able to proceed with the hands off homebirth you wanted!

Thank you for sharing! I, too, am so glad the midwives were there, so that you were able to stay home. And how crazy about the bleeding/possible misdiagnosis...So glad all went well!
