Any No Cali cd'ing mommies? - Page 2

I am about 3-4 hrs N.West of Chico. (depending on what route you take?) We are on the Northern Coast of CA...Great waves but too cold to surf! I used to live in Red Bluff when I was in High School. I missed out on the last Diaper Party cuz I was not keeping dd in the car for 5 hrs.

Woah, easy mama! I live in the SF bay and you will NOT convince me that I live in Central Cali. I live in Northern California, thankyouverymuch! Its a matter of perception, no matter what a map has to say.

I would love to have another diaper party! The San Ramon one was great, we had a wonderful turnout. We had a tie-dye diaper party at veganmamma's in Concord a few months later, that was fun too.

In addition to dates, let's list where we all live and pick a central location for us all too. I'm in Concord. Weekdays are good for us, but we can do weekends too.

radish, I'd love to meet you! Are you back in the area again?

Duh, self, people are already doing that.

So here's what we have so far:

Concord
Humbolt County
Tracy
2 Between Sacto and Tahoe (be more specific please!)
Turlock
3 Sacto
Novato
Auburn

Looks like this party will be in the Sacto area!

Beautiful, mild climated, cruncy Humboldt County. About 2 hours away from the Oregon Border. And did I mention BEAUTIFUL? I am not trying to sound mean but I am so tired of hearing oh I live in Northern CA...ya, I live in Turlock. That is CENTRAL California...check a map ladies please! I am only annoyed because I would love to meet up with cloth diapering mommies that use(d) more than just gerber prefolds and flats.
Not to be nit picky, but according to the map of california, Sacramento is in the northern part, I don't think it's central at all. I'm mean, it's not WAY north, but it's not in the middle. More like lower northern.

Oh my goodness I am so sorry. I surely didn't want to stir anything up. I merely wanted to meet some other moms in my area. I am truly sorry if I rubbed anyone thr wrong way. It seems as though we are located all over the northern and central parts of Cali. Lets try and see if we can all find one location to meet and if that doesn't seem workable, maybe split and met in an area that is closer to us? Does this make sense? I totally understand not wanting to dive 3+ hours, I wouldnt either. So if it isnt feasable lets have two different get togethers. Hth!!!

I'm one of the ones between Sacramento and Tahoe. Basically we are about 30 mins south east of Placerville. It's a very small town (I wouldn't even call it a town!) kindof towards Jackson.

How's that for more specific?

The other one that is inbetween Sacramento and Tahoe already said where she's at - she's in EDH.

Some of us live in very small communities and probably don't want to put things that are too specific out on the web

Sac is probably a good idea!

I know that's a long haul for Chico/Paradise etc. But maybe there are enough up there to get together in their area too. Sortof like there are several in the Bay Area that had a get together (it was too far for us).

Have diapers, will travel!

I live in the North Bay Area (near Santa Rosa) but would like to party it up!

Tried to join the group and got to a dead link -- sent e-mail to try to join group.

Rondi...looking forward to attending a BYOD party!

I live in Reno

Can I join you? I live in Reno, Nevada but am in the Sacramento area a lot (only 2 hours away) DH has family in Polock Pines and I went graduated from High School in Tracy, California.

WHOA! I am sorry if what I said was taken badly. I didn't mean it. I was just a little annoyed because I see N. Cal. as everything North of williams. I checked it on a map, it would take me 5 hrs to get to Sacramento. I just want to meet mommies in MY area of Northern CA. that cloth diaper. And to drive 5 hrs for a diaper party with an almost 2 year old is NOT feasible. I am sorry if I came off snotty in my first post. Coming from someone who has driven the length of the state more than once, it is a big state and I don't like doing it more than necessary.

It sounds like Sacramento is the most central so far. Any Sacto moms want to volunteer to host, or know of a good place to meet like a park or something?

Does weekday or weekend work better for ya'll?

OK, I **KNOW** Im in Central CA.

I am in Visalia (smack dab between Fresno & Bakersfield)

But I am origionally from Modesto. Went to HS there (and then Sonora too)
My Daddy is still in Modesto.

And I lived in the Tahoe/Reno area for 5 years too!

I feel so left out right now.......
