What is going on here???!!!!

My son hasn't been sleeping lately, and its b/c he's hungry.

Is there a 9month growth spurt??

Also, whats with the lag in supply around my period? Its never at the same time during my cycle - sometimes right before my period, sometimes right after, sometimes during my period, sometimes right in the middle of my cycle - it makes no sense at all. It's just like for several days I have zero supply. I know my supply drops b/c my son doesn't swallow, my breasts are totally flat and empty feeling (not soft, more of a deflated feeling), and he has fewer wet diapers and dryer poops.

I have to work really hard to get my supply back up, but then it just happens again randomly.

Also, when I'm at school during the week Lincoln REFUSES to drink from a bottle. I know people survive reverse cycling, but its destroying me right now. And my nighttime supply SUCKS. He's not sleeping b/c theres no milk to drink, he's not eating during the day so he's trying to nurse every hour at night and its preventing me from sleeping (yes, we cosleep and sidelie nurse all night - I can sleep thru 1 or 2 or 3 nightime nursings, but NOT 10-12!!!!

This is killing me! I need to fix my supply issues, what the heck is going on???

I had similar problems with my dd once my period returned. I used More Milk Plus to boost my supply--it really helped me. Also, you could try eating a bowl of oatmeal in the evening to boost your supply before bed. Maybe he would wake less then? Good luck!

Have you introduced solids? If not, I would consider doing that now, at least he can have some while you are away from him during the day.

I haven't tried the tea mentioned above, but Mother's Milk tea has helped my supply.

We have introduced solids, but he's really not eating very much - and it seems like the more solids he eats w/o milk in between he gets constipated.

I hadn't thought of oatmeal before bed!! Thats a great idea! I'll check out the more milk plus too. Thanks!

When they start having solids, IME they need a little water too or they do get constipated. Not a whole lot, but if he has some solid food I'd give him a little water in cup or sippy cup with it. That might help with that problem.

That more milk plus looks like good stuff. I don't have a supply problem but I do think I'd probably try that if I did.

I second that. Water helped my little guy with his constipation. Also, we sometimes juice canteloupe in our Breville and dilute with water. He likes that, and it gets him pooping when the pooping gets tough...literally and figuratively.
