Knitting mamas: what'cha workin' on?

I haven't done much knitting since my DD was in diapers (my first knitting project ever was her first pair of soaker pants!) but I'm working on a new project for *me* right now. I'm making these cute fingerless gloves from a pattern called "Trilsea'n"... I don't know if I'm allowed to link the site, because it's a paid pattern, but I'm just excited to be working on a new project! I *almost* want another diapering babe, just to have someone to knit soakers for!

I seem to have lots of little projects now:

last bowl in set of knitted bowls. Now have to go and felt them.

pair of ruffled leg warmers for niece - made pair for my dd and they were a hit

scarf for sister in law

last two mittens for hat/mitten Advent calendar I've been working on since spring.

Beanie hat for dd1

Need to stitch up top I finished for other niece. (Oh, why didn't I knit this in the round????)

Need to start some cowls for Christmas presents......

and the list goes on

I'm knitting an AG-sized swimming suit in pink for a little girl's Christmas present. Almost done.

Also, I just started a blanket for my dad.

I have a pair of socks on the needles, but I need to pick them up again. Those are stressful to me right now.

This forum is so quiet - has every gone to Ravelry?

I have just set aside my never ending Mystery Stole 4, to make socks for DS and a scarf for DD. It was fun taking them to the yarn store and letting them choose the project and the yarn. Would have been cheaper and faster to go through my stash, but what fun is that?

I'm attempting my first socks and I'm periodically working on a bag for shopping at the farmer's market.

Currently I'm:

-knitting the 2nd mitten of a pair of "Phenomenon" mitts for my little sister (and simultaneously being jealous that I don't have time to make a pair for myself).

-knitting a "Juliet" scarf in Louisa Harding Kimono Angora Pure (got the yarn at Tuesday Morning for cheap). This one may go on the backburner for now though.

-avoiding learning to single crochet the edging on a shawl I made for my other sister.

Yarn at Tuesday Morning? I'll have to look into that!

I'm working on a market bag =) Not a lot of knitting gets done around here though.

I'm finishing up a hat for DH, then I want to make some simple wrist warmers for the kids as it's getting cold out. After that, I want to make some Babyleg-type leg warmers for the older girls.

I need to finish the second slipper to felt for myself- some beautiful cranberry colored Owool. But I think today I am going to cast on for a new scarf for myself. I am kind of tired of my other ones and have been wearing only my clapotis for awhile- but it is bamboo and that won't be so warm in another month or so. I am debating on cream alpaca or TIG Meg in Wexford silk. Maybe both.

I still need to finish my hemlock ring for my mom for Christmas- it is over half done- but I don't really see an end in sight ya know?

Just finished Clapotis!

I think next on the list are some fingerless gloves and a hat for DS.

I am working on a hat for dd for a christmas present. School is making it hard for me to find time to knit so it is slow going. I am about 1/2 way there. I wanted to make her mittens too but I don't know if I will be able to.

I have 6" to go on a baby afghan.

I'm also knitting squares for my own afghan but just whenever I feel like it

I'm working on quite a few things, but I'm hoping that I will soon finish matching sweaters for my boys. They're dk and lt gray stripes with a skull and crossbones intarsia. The bigger sweater will be a hoodie and the smaller one is a cardigan.

All of these sound so fun! Thanks for sharing everyone! I ended up having to frog my second glove, but I'm back at it now, past the cable and ready to do the thumb hole and final ribbing section. Yay! And not a moment too soon, because it's getting COLD here!

Cute! I've never tried intarsia before, but I'd love to. Is this a knitty.com pattern? I think I remember seeing something that sounded a bit like this on there a while back...

I really want to make a Clapotis, but I can't decide what yarn. It's a beautiful pattern.

I'm busy making fingerless gloves for everyone. I finished the New Moon pattern for DD (from Craftzine.com), but they are a little too loose for her. I may make a second pair, but I'll have to adjust the pattern. She'll have to wait until I finish the pair for DS - his take a little longer because he likes having the finger tubes.

It took me this long to make Clapotis because of trying to figure out which yarn to use. I ended up using Manos del Uruguay's merino-silk blend. I think it's perfect! If you're on Ravelry, there are tons (thousands!) of Clapotis knit up, so you can see which yarns others used. I'd definitely recommend trying the new Malabrigo Silky, too -- a 50/50 merino-silk blend.
