nursing while pregnant- SORE nipples

oh man, my nipples are so sore. Whenever dd (14 months) nurses it feels like she's biting me.

I still have a lot of milk and she nurses several times during the day and before nap and bedtime. I'm going to keep going as long as I can. I usually just breathe through the first minute or two and then it's not so bad.

Does anyone have any tips for soothing the nips? they are so tender

I suspect it's hormonal. I breastfed DS1 althrough my pregnancy with DS2 and found nursing painful for the first 3-4 months and then again in the last month. Sorry I can't be more helpful, maybe someone else will have some other suggestions.

I found it really painfel for the first 3 or 4 mths too, however after that the pain did stop completely....so there may be hope.

My dd was older but, one thing that did help was I told her we would count to 10 and then she had to stop. SOmetimes it was a nice slow count and other times i raced thru as fast as i could. I did find it helpful for both of us to know what the time limit was gonna be. and it did seem to give me the breather i needed to let her try again a few mins later

hugs, I know it can be hard those first couple months
