I went and rescued my kitty's brother. 
So we have two new kitties, Tera and S'more.
I called around to vets and explained our situation. Found a vet they asked me to bring in a kitty and stool sample. It had tapeworm. He sold me at a REASONABLE price tape worm and flea medicine for all my pets.
He uses an alternitive Vax schedule for pets. He offered litature to support not as frequent vax'ing and doing tithers before vax'ing. Long story short he doesn't vax his kids and thinks most pets are over vax'ed.
I think my other vet being a PITA was a good thing. This vet is more holistic.
