New here too! some questions...

Hello all. I am new here and not very adept at computer jargon. Is there a "how this all works;" it took me a while to even figure out how to post?

about me:
i am a new mama (age 27) to a 3 month strapping baby boy- 14 lbs already! it was an awesome pregnancy, amazing intense 6 hour labor with my most wonderful midwife. i am so blessed. one miscarriage prior.

my partner and i bedshare, wear our baby, use cloth diapers and began EC at 2 weeks of age. (we mainly strive to catch poops)

we live in a rural community. grow our own food organically. run hens for eggs. we don't have a lot of money so i check out mothering from the library. most of our baby stuff came from friends or was gifted. i am of the mind that babes do not need to cost a lot of money. i am interested in midwifery care, mothering as activism and natural childbirth education for the masses.
i'm interested in hearing from other mamas about the following:
1. i got some gift money for my babe and want to buy new pants and some winter warm things. all conventional baby clothes tend to be too trim for cloth diapers and the elastic waists are SOOO tight. any suggestions- brands, websites etc.
2. i am struggling to be compassionate with a gf. whose life is SO diff. she had a pretty hard hospital birth. 20 hours, drugs, episiotomy, 25 stiches or something all in all. her babe @ 6 weeks is already on formula- she called him "lazy" b/c he didn't latch on to her nip well (i feel like she gave up) already in day care. it is hard to relate. any suggestions? or gentle ways to show her my way? how to give my style some more validity? (ex. her doc suggested fenugreek for milk production, now i could have told her the same damn thing, but would she have listened?!??!)
3. also traveling with babes... i am going to see my folks over winter and my boy will be 5 months. stories... tips??

thanks for reading yall!

I know a lot about plane travel and car travel with babies. I have been to England three times with my daughter- once at six months, once at ten months and once at 16 months. Ask me anything you want to know!
