I just want to do some research before I go back to the doc.
I am scheduled for my HSG test on next Monday day 9 in my cycle.
and I should have my blood work back tomorrow
she said if my levels are not good she will think about supporting progesterone , just not to sure what that mean?
Thanks

What are you doing? IUI? IVF?

Either one of those will require some sort of progesterone supplement, levels will vary.

Good :-)
Hsg isn't fun, take someone with you.

My last RE visit, we discussed progesterone. They said they've stopped using PIO, (progesterone in oil), a year ago, now they just use vaginal supplements. They see no difference in results. I've never used the sups, so we're going to do 1/2 & 1/2, PIO & Sups. Just for my peace of mind...

They would put you on supporting progesterone just to supplement what your body is making. Mine makes way too little on its own, so even if I could become pregnant naturally, I would need extra prog.

When I was pg in the past, I took progesterone until about week 15 or so.

Well...
I honestly don't think test results from an HSG are too bad. The results from your test will help your RE or OB, (don't know who you're seeing), know better how to proceed. Also, HSG's can sometimes remove blockages in your tubes. That's a good thing.
I'm so glad your DH is going with you, I'm sure he can provide you the support and comfort you need.
Good luck!
