Yay! I finally feel comfy with back carries!

My ds2 is 9 weeks now, and I finally feel like I'm solid enough at a rucksack that I can do it wherever, and without a mirror. Yay! I even went grocery shopping the other day with him and my 2 yo (I'm crazy, I know) and he was on my back for like 90 min, no probs. He was happy as a clam and I was comfortable, too. I got him on and off in the parking lot and felt quite safe.

And I can do it with my didy or my moby!

I love the looks I get from people and how they ooh and aah.

Just thought I'd share.

CONGRATS!!! That is so GREAT! I wish I saw someone wearing their little one in a carrier at the grocery store!

Be careful using a Moby for back carries though. The stretch can be dangerous. It might work for you now, but you might not know when your LO is too heavy until it's too late!

Congrats again on mastering a back carry so early! Very exciting!!!

I have to second this -- I never, ever recommend a Moby for a back carry and I really wish the company wouldn't advertise it as suitable for back carries.

Getting a NB on your back is SO liberating! When I was able to master the high back carry in the Kozy for my 2nd, it changed my life.

Thanks for the heads up - I can definitely tell I have to be much more careful with the moby to get it really tight. But really, I'm using my didy all the time now. It's fun that my ds2 seems to really like it and is getting used to being on my back, so he just sort of chills when I'm putting him on. People always comment on how happy he looks. I still need to get pics!
